Hello Guys,
I have a weird problem with my command prompt.exe.
Whenever I start it, it pops out for a second and then dissapears. Do you know how to fix it by any chance?

command prompt.exe is a standalone program, grab it off another comp and run from a penstick, if this works replace the one on your pc

When I was young I watched an anime, and I have since forgot the name of it. If you recognize it, please reply with the name or a place I can find it. Here's what I remember from the anime:

The main character was a man and a young girl

The girl had some sort of magical stone in her necklace(I think)

The stone was blue and levitated.

The anime was all about flying, at one point the main character joined some other people in a huge airship, but if I remember correctly they got bombed or something like that.

In the end(I think?) the girl got back to her farm(or villa/huge house) and made a flying machine with her brother(I think) that looked like a bicycle with wings.

All help is appreciated.

Because you asked on /a/ first, that means you didn't read the rules. It's in your best interests to do so; you'll get more out of this site and you don't risk getting banned in the future. At least read the Global ones.

Hi folks. /before reading, I know this can be a touchy subject with data security etc, but I'm not asking for any work arounds or anything potentially illegal, I just need to understand my problem better.

I'm trying to recover data from a hard drive with a failed MBR. It's an old drive my dad kept hold of from years ago with the intent to recover loads of old family photos.

I've saved a disk image and 'recovered' lots of raw files, but a lot of the images are appearing 'corrupt' and won't display, despite having dimension data and reasonably appropriate file sizes. The filesystem has also been recovered, so I can see the original folders these images were saved in.

At the time we used to have separate passworded user account access to the machine the drive ran in - I'M NOT ASKING FOR A WAY TO BREAK THE SECURITY PASSWORDS.

Could these passwords be the what's preventing some images from opening properly?

No, Windows passwords just protect "whether Windows lets you log on", and the windows keychain, which is primarily used by IE to store passwords, but also remembers the passwords you use to access network drives.

>>231898
>I'M NOT ASKING FOR A WAY TO BREAK THE SECURITY PASSWORDS.
You don't need to kiss ass like that. The criterion isn't "is this l33t or not", it's "is this illegal or not". So:

- asking how to break your friend's password: not allowed
- asking how to break your own password: allowed

>>231898
If all you want is your photos back, get GetDataBack Simple, and have it ignore the filesystem(s) and just copy off anything that's a JPEG.
>>
>>231898
failed mbr shouldnt stop you from plugging it into another working machine (obviously not as main drive) and just copping the files across

Probably not exactly what you were looking for or expecting, but the best way to describe it is Japanese shibari.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rope_bondage

It's just a form of bondage that's popular in Japan. The depiction in your picture is a bit different though, which is why it might not be what you're looking for. It's also usually very NSFW, so you'd have to look through a lot of porn for the safe stuff.

I gotta make this BASH script reminiscent of Spritz. It's basically a speed reading program, pic very related. I don't want to do it from scratch. If anyone has ever done a similar assignment, I'd appreciate a copy of that. It doesn't have to be exact, and I'm going to make a bunch of changes too it regardless so I can figure out how it works. Thanks in advance.

I'm trying really hard, and I'm struggling to think of a language less appropriate for this task than bash.

Maybe befunge, but even befunge is at least designed to be interactive.
>>
>>231889
Tell me about it, but that's the task.

I got a look at the proff's code and despite it working it looks convoluted as fuck.
>>
>>231880
Also
>speed reading
Most people just call that "reading". If you can't read faster than you can talk, then you have a learning difficulty you need to overcome, because most people can read without needing to vocalise.

I cannot find a straight answer to this anywhere: is the GAMEPLAY ITSELF of Overwatch tainted by microtransactions?

What I mean by this is are there any MATERIAL, IN-GAME COMBAT ADVANTAGES (to include merely tactical) that are affected by microtransactions in Overwatch?

I'm not trying to discuss inane, pedantic details like how much "boxes" or "keys" or whatever cost, or how frequently they drop naturally compared to price, or how much Gabe is jewing us in ANY OTHER ASPECT THAN GAMEPLAY ITSELF.

For example, I would define TF2 as BEING TAINTED, since you are stuck without access to materially different weapons unless you grind/pay.
>Want the rocket with unlimited reserve ammo and a powerful secondary attack?
>Or the medic melee that lets you see enemy health?
>better pay $X
>or $Y + GabeTax on the community market
>or try to find someone to trade with
>or wait 3 weeks and hope you get it in random drops

Whereas (to the best of my knowledge) CS:GO would classify as NOT TAINTED, since there is no concievable way in which microtransactions could even have the slightest effect on gameplay.

If you can't find an answer to this on Google you haven't seriously tried, at all.

>Overwatch
>Gabe
>Cow Mangler
>""""""powerful""""""
Take your fucking meds.

No the loot boxes don't have gameplay things in them.
>>
>>231836
No, just a healthy dose of /tech/ paranoia

>>231837
So you can confirm that the microtransactions in Overwatch have absolutely no gameplay implications whatsoever?

Okay so people often argue whether to watch the anime or read the manga right?

I just wanna know some series where the manga is undeniably better, like you're literally doing yourself a disservice by watching the animated version instead.

Berserk is a good example of this.
