HELP hey guys how did they shop the trump cover and keep the gradient background? I'm ok with photoshop and I wanted to edit a picture of my friend on there but I cant figure out how to have the background have that blue once I take donald off. Basically I bought a new laptop that came with Windows 10. Decided I wanted Windows 7 so I reformatted.
I installed Windows 7, and then went to the manufacturer's website and downloaded all the relevant drivers. I put those drivers on to various USB thumb drives, but none of them work. When I plug them in, they will light up but they do not actually show up under My Computer. So I figured this was because I didn't have the chipset drivers installed and drove out to buy some blank discs.
I burned the driver .iso's onto a blank disc using various programs, D Tools Lite, magiciso, isoburn, and the default win 7 program. No matter what program I use, I get the following error message when I double click on a driver to install it, including on this current, older laptop that works fine.
Basically I have a new laptop with nothing but Windows 7 Operating System on it, but no drivers and therefore it's pretty much useless. USB thumb drives don't work, and I keep getting pic related error when I try to install drivers via burned disc. I get the same error on both the new laptop with only the OS, and a 100% functional older laptop that I'm using right now to post on.
Spent an hour and half on tech support and they were utterly useless. I have no idea what the hell is happening. Am I somehow burning these discs wrong?

I'm surprised they didn't tell you to fuck off straight away. You took a laptop that did work, deleted the supported operating system, and are now trying to get them to help you install an OS that's not tested, validated or supported on the hardware by anyone. You were the one wasting their time.

I tried copying them to the hard disc. Trying to do so results in the same error message (they don't even copy over, the error just pops up).
When I bought the laptop, they advertised it as Windows 7 Professional, but it shipped with Windows 10 FYI.

That's a dell self-extractor, not an actual driver.
Extract them all on a working PC, and copy the actual drivers across.

Does anybody have any experience getting this gamepad to work on Windows XP? It's a Microsoft Sidewinder Gamepad using gameport. I've tried the third party drivers made by that German dude and everything else I can find on the web but still no luck. The soundcard I'm using to connect it is a Sound Blaster 16 PCI.

Computer illiterate retard fuccboi here.
I just reformatted a laptop to downgrade form win10 to win7. I have all the drivers from the manufacture's website saved to a USB thumb drive, but when I plug in the thumb drive nothing happens. I tried both the USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports. I was pretty sure you did not need a driver in order for a newly formatted computer to recognize a flash drive (I've done this before with an older laptop).
I really don't want to head out and buy some blank discs to burn the drivers onto if I can find a way to get my USB drive to be recognized. As if right now, none of the ones I have result in anything after being plugged in. They do flash and blink, indicating power.

Alright, so a little backstory:
Been using a Wi-Fi extender for a little while, at the same time while having issues with my internet router. We got the router replaced and things are much better...except the wi-fi extender (which I intend to use ethernet cables with for a desktop computer and consoles etc.) kept disconnecting for a few seconds every few minutes/hours. This would be disastrous for certain games like Demon's Souls (PS3, but the issue is if I am playing multiplayer this will be a nightmare).
However, I had a power strip with surge protection. So I plugged the extender into the power strip and so far, no disconnections what so ever. I called my father to tell him I fixed the issue, but he claimed that "You are not supposed to do that" and went on about how the router will connect to the wi-fi extender via the house's power line...which seemed odd to me when he first said it. But the thing is the connection seemed just fine to me.
The thing is, I would rather he just got an ethernet mains into a ethernet splitter so I could plug them into my consoles and all that rather than using an extender, but the way my house is built that will be a massive hassle.
Can someone tell me if using the Wi-Fi extender on a power strip is actually that big of an issue? And do Wi-Fi extenders actually use the powerlines in the house to connect to the router?
And what may be a bigger problem, I have had issues with those particular power sockets before, they often turn off briefly if another switch in the house is turned off or on. I told my father about this but he pretty much claimed it was out of the question, for some reason.
