I know I'm in the minority here, but I'm trying like mad to find this movie. DVD, Blu-Ray, download, torrent, shared file, whatever - I want to buy/download/own this movie. Have been since last year when this film was debuted/shown at, apparently, a film festival. I've been searching and waiting since that showing for this to come to consumers, but I can't find anything. If any of you anons know where I can get a copy of this movie, please let me know.
This is definitely a challenge for the anons who tout they can 'get anything' This might be un-get'able. Last few times I've asked around, research came up that this might have only been watchable at that film festival. I'm still looking to this day. I really hope there's a way to get this movie. Please, help me out anons.
per wiki:
"Birth of the Dragon is an American martial arts biographical drama film directed by George Nolfi and written by Christopher Wilkinson and Stephen J. Rivele. The film stars Philip Ng, Xia Yu, and Billy Magnussen. The true story revolves around the young martial artist Bruce Lee, who challenges kung fu master Wong Jack Man in 1965 in San Francisco. Principal photography began on November 17, 2015 in Vancouver. It was selected to be screened in the Special Presentations section at the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival."
how many times do you need to be told that it was only shown at one festival and there are no copies of it on the internet?

I'm pretty sure he saged it.
What are some anime or manga with prominent gay characters that aren't yuri/yaoi? I'm interested to see if they can pull it off without making it the defining focus.
Neon Genesis Evangelion
Also, Yuureitou, but it's more about transgenderism than homosexuality
Anyway, I doubt you'd find much of them unless you go for deep underground stuff...
Homosexuality is kinda... taboo in Japan. So aside from yaoi/yuri, I doubt you'd find many of them.

So I've got a problem. My internet service goes out tomorrow. Knowing this, I torrented 460GB worth of movies and animie series to watch. Most of em play fine but some of the .mkv files are laggy in VLC and won't play at all when I plug my external hard drive into my TV. The TV is just a low-end non-smart Samsung that usually has no problem playing most video files. I know this is a common issue and that the culprit is the audio encoding or something but I cannot seem to find a program that will let me keep the quality of the video and re-encode the audio so it doesn't spaz out on me.
tl;dr what program will let me re-encode .mkv files to play on Samsung TVs
I'm a NEET obviously so I can't afford to pay for one of those programs that claims to do it all. This is pathetic, I know, but I'll drive to a nearby wifi hotspot with my laptop tomorrow to check this thread and hopefully download a program that will work.
probably the ones that don't play are h264 hi-10 flac encoded. you're going to have to reencode them. handbrake is the most common one to do that. i use this program.
Avidemux could probably do this and it's pretty lightweigh

Is there anime girl with a super tall, super shy girl? Like a girl who is just really, really big and tall (not fat) who is super self conscious about her height and size?
pic unrelated. I don't know shit about anime.
>>259878
Does anybody have a picture of a girl who is self conscious about her height?
like shes always stooping over and trying to act smaller than she really is, crossing her arms over her chest and shirking and avoiding eye contact?
>>259878
I don't really have anything to trade, i just collect wierd stuff, like random images and things that don't make any sense...
Hey /wsr/, I've watched the following, would appreciate recommendations based on this.
>Code Geass
Liked it. The highschooley stuff etc wasn't entirely for me but it never got too overbearing. Liked the setting. Lelouch was a decent protagonist, keikakus were generally pretty good and fun. Watched Akito too, wasn't as impressed by the story but the soundtrack was excellent.
>Your Name
Liked it a lot, characters were endearing, plot was engrossing, music was good, art was pretty. Wasn't the most original or innovative thing but I enjoyed it a lot and will probably go see it again when I have an opportunity.
>Initial D
Enjoyed it. Takumi's friends were sometimes a little bit grating, most of the women in the show were just annoying, and I thought stage 4 was a bit dull after 26 episodes of racing literally whos and little interesting character development but it picked back up in 5/final. Now listening to my new HIGH SPEED DORIFTO playlist.
>Death Note
Became really apparent in the second season that L was propping the entire show up. Wasn't really getting into it until he was revealed, and didn't enjoy any of it after he died. Light was a very uninteresting protagonist - he's not at all sympathetic (compare to lelouch, who has good intentions, experiences some degree of guilt, and has people he cares about), he doesn't really have any interesting personality or character besides ruthless edgy anime psychopath, and from a psychological perspective he is completely incoherent. Keikakus were fun though, in season 1 at least.
>Yuri on Ice
Mindboggling gay, great fun, very sweet, now somewhat interested in figure skating. Eagerly looking forward to a second season.
>Your Lie in April
Sometimes a bit too dreary to enjoy, and I don't have the depth of understanding to fully appreciate it musically, but a good show and would definitely recommend to anyone with a good knowledge of classical music.
On my radar:
>Fullmetal Alchemist
>Berserk
>Evangelion
Advice appreciated.

>>Code Geass
>Liked it. The highschooley stuff etc wasn't entirely for me but it never got too overbearing. Liked the setting.
Try: Higashi no Eden (plus its two movies). Starts right off with a bang.
>>Death Note
>Became really apparent in the second season that L was propping the entire show up. Wasn't really getting into it until he was revealed, and didn't enjoy any of it after he died.
So you had the same experience as everyone else. Try: Monster (takes a while to really get off the ground, but then you'll marathon the last ten or so episodes), Gyakkyou Burai Kaiji: Ultimate Survivor
>>Your Lie in April
You'll want to look into Steins;Gate.
>Fullmetal Alchemist
Your radar is spot-on. Watch Brotherhood, though.
tldr: Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Higashi no Eden, Monster, Kaiji, Steins;Gate

Cool, thanks, that's something to keep me busy. If this thread lives long enough I'll come back when I've watched some of that.
>>259872
Dougram, it's older and is 75 eps in length, but completely worth it. Also the Aquarion trilogy if you like smart stuff like Death Note, pic related.
I need some anime recommendations.
Right at the moment, I feel the need of watching something with a badass MC that can do nearly everything, or maybe a loner MC like the ones from Yahari/Haganai.
jaa, yoroshiku~

Hey, anon. Can you help me out? I'd like to take this photo and add in a witches hat, and broom. A green tint to the skin is optional, but it would complete the illusion. Thank you.

Couldn't be arsed to remove the guitar but I hope this will suffice.
Are there any similar 'comic reading' sites, like mangastream, mangafox, mangalife
but for western comics?
(If not what are some good ad-free sites to download them?)
Online reading sites don't really exist for printed Western comics, given the increased copyright scrutiny. Lurk /co/'s win-o threads for download links. Search /co/'s archives for any particular comics.
>mangastream, mangafox, mangalife
You really shouldn't use any of those sites, unless you actively prefer lq scans.
Every single site that I've seen, which offers American comic books to read online, were shut down rather quickly.

It converts I just tried. Shit's legit.

I, strangely enough, get a 'video not available from your jurisdiction' when trying to convert it.
I was hoping more for an album with individual MP3s, too. I've been jamming to this already (I appreciate the link though)!

Here OP, have fun.
I need an anime about (or just including) a cute girl who likes to go into a killing frenzy from time to time and murder everyone with her sword/axe/whatever. Hell, even just something about a cute girl murdering the shit out of something will be ok. No "trapped in a game" bullshit though. Any of ye got something?

I think mirai nikki has that, but I haven't watched it.
