To be fair, it should be "perro de caza" not "perro de la caza", so whoever phrased it that way was probably using google translate themselves.

hate to say it but thats the important one, it contains your "shard" of the registry (your USR sub-tree/keys)
honestly, its better to create a new username on the computer and moving all the stuff on the desktop and mydocuments folders onto the new profile than trying to fix something that cant be fixed (installed programs just for your dont seem to be installed anymore)
so yeah, make a new user-name/account and go to the old accounts folders and start cutting and pasting stuff onto the new profile (just your stuff, not system stuff: desktop, documents, music, etc)
if you are unable to start enter window at all (solo account , auto loggin, etc.) use the rescue disk or safe mode to enter on the administrator account (it should have no password)

I've tried but I can't. Whenever I press "Add a new user" it pops up a grey screen and then it disappears. I thought I had found the solotion when I saw a thread on some forum with that exact fix but it won't work for me.

What is this? What do you mean by rescue disk? I don't have windows on a disc or anything, I simply upgraded from win7 long ago. If that's not what you meant can you please elaborate?

what about entering recovery mode? can you do that?
btw what can you do on the computer? does it bootup to the login screen and you just cant login? what is it doing actually?
do you have the option for launching a recovery/administration console?
if so launch it and run

replace MynewUsername with whatever you want (must be different from the username on the borked account)
then restart normally and see if you can loggin onto the new account
