I'm supposed to come up with an idea for my thesis of an automated machine my team and I could make that would solve an immediate problem in the fields of medicine, agriculture, or water filtration. I've had a few ideas but they were all rejected due to them not being an immediate issue, and my group isn't helping at all. Does anyone have any ideas?

Hey guys, im trying to get my 3.5mm combo jack headset to work on my pc using an adapter but it doesnt seem to work. I have perfect clear sound through the headset but my microphone is not working what so ever.
I tried to test it in a skype call and it seems that skype things its sending sound through the microphone?As people speak the bar indicating volume jumps up and down in the microphone skype tab but not in the speakers tab even though i hear the sound directly through the headset. Does anybody have any ideas?

Plastic sleeves are injection molded on the plug-wiring assembly. Sometimes the plug-wiring insert may move in the mold in the molten plastic stream (worn out mold, different plastic, different parts tolerances etc.), and may get pushed backwards in the flow. Therefore plug ends up too deep in the plastic sleeve. Not an unheard of thing to happen.

You may try removing some of the plastic at the root of the plug to reveal it some mils more. Just some mils at the time, they try it. You don't want to remove too much. Use a sharp utility knife.

does anybody have that picture of the strikingly beautiful anime woman when viewed from the front, but then besides it they show a sideways perspective of her and her face is completely flat and really bad looking as a result. I think the woman was blonde in the image.

I want it, because it's a wonderful example to show people about perspective of 3D characters.

Here's the deal:
As part of a uni project, I had to plan and partially implement the software for a small autonomous loudspeaker unit. For my report, I need a sketch of such a unit. It will be someone else's job to design the thing in the future, but right now the profs want at least something to look at and I fear my scribbles will make them want to an hero.
So if anyone would kindly provide me with a sketch, that would be grand. The pic should give you a rough idea what the overall shape would be like, except the units are supposed to be mobile. Here are some pointers:
>roughly 1 m in height, around 30 cm diameter; shouldn't tip over
>loudspeaker protected from rain
>driven by relatively small wheels, maybe 10 cm diameter?
>no display, no external ports; maybe use the loudspeaker cover (kind of a mushroom shape in my mind) to also house the microcontroller?
Black and white pencil sketch or whatever, I don't care. Something to put in my presentation.

Thanks in advance. Going to look around the board and see if I can help others.
