Hey guys, I've had the wonderful experience of getting a small taste of what PC gaming is like through a shitty laptop and I've been genuinely interested in getting a desktop to play games on. My dad has offered to buy me a pre-built PC or parts to build my own sometime later this year. I already have a good enough TV that I can use as a monitor, along with mouse and keyboard. I'm more inclined to get pre-built PC, as I'd rather not risk messing it up.
>my dad has not set a price limit
But I'd say the limit should be $800...
What would you all recommend?

prebuild gaming PCs are mostly super-overpriced scams
building a PC on your own is not that difficult. it'll take more work to pick out all the parts (the pc building thread in /g/ can help you with that), but the actual assembly is easy as pie. it's basically expensive legos
>>357681
I have seen a few good PCs wherein if I bought the parts seperately I'd lose money. But I'll keep that in mind, thanks mate
Later this year prices might be a bit different so probably just come back at the time.

OP, don't listen to this guy. /g/ is the least informative place to learn about technology. Those stupid faggots are neverendingly posting anime shit and arguing bashing anyone not on Linux. The same 10 people on there will tell you to fuck off for asking a question and complain about spoonfeeding you.
PC building isn't like legos. You might need to drive back to the store if you're missing a fucking piece you need. Might have to return something and exchange it if you buy the wrong part. Cableing and all that shit is a pain in the ass if you haven't done it before and then you need to pray it boots up without an issue.
Consider a pre-built but if you do get a good high end one.
Hello, I own a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and recently I have dropped it to the ground render its screen to be not working. Despite that, the phone's working just fine and still connect to the wi-fi. It still recieves messages/calls.
It has PIN lockscreen and I knows the number but couldn't unlock it because screen broke. Thus access data through USB isn't feasible. I also knows its Google account.
How do I retrieve its data? I'm thinking of a program to undirectly input PIN to unlock the lockscreen.
Also fixing the screen costs ~$88 wtf

Couldn't you use it's HDMI mini port or whatever it has to connect it to a TV?
Hey WSR, recently I came across a (You) meme *pic related* that reminded me of a manga I read the first chapter to. But I can't remember the name of the manga for the life of me. Does anyone know what manga has a MC that gets transported to a card game where all the other players are people put into women bodies, and if they lose they die?
I think I remember an angel/demon lady being involved too. I think the game they were forced to play was poker but I'm not sure...
It was probably made between 2016 - 2017.
I don't really know about it, but judging the artstyle, i'll make a wild guess: Kakegurui
Sorry if I'm wasting your time
>>357992
Yeah, OP was just saying that the Kakegurui picture reminded them of another manga. That description definitely isn't Kakegurui.
>>357637
I know the manga you mean, give me a moment to find the title.
I've tried and failed to find the sauce to the animation. If anyone can find the animation and music that'd be cool. thx.

I want to get into the mecha genre of anime. what are some essential mecha anime to watch. I want to start with the older stuff like grendizer.
>I want to start with the older stuff like Grendizer
I mean you can't really go far without saying Mazinger and Getter robo if that's the case, although I think most people would argue in favor of the manga instead of the anime in both situations.
It's not "mecha" persay, but Captian harlock and Space Battleship Yamato sort of trail blazed a good number of tropes and you can see it's direct influence in early Gundam/Macross/Ideon.
Raideen isn't completely finished it's slowly being churned over by a /m/ subgroup that was probably killed by subninjas a few months ago.
Zambot 3 is really fucking interesting, but it's not very good. The animation is beyond terrible, but it does a lot of unique things I haven't seen in anime before, it deals with the displaced people after giant robot attacks, and at one point the main villain does some pretty brutal things to the population of earth. It has a great ending though, it's a very tomino show though.
I really haven't seen much of the 70s so I'm sure some other /m/an can give you better advice, but that's about everything I've seen in the 70-79 timescale I'd recommend.

alright thanks. Im saving your post for future reference. Guess ill start off with mazinger or something

I've searched pretty intensively for this, can't seem to find them.
Does anyone know the lyrics to, or have a link to the lyrics for "wake the riot" by Black Pistol Fire?

this is a slow board, OP. wait longer.
also isn't there a music board? we don't see many requests for lyrics here.
I'm looking for a funny anime to watch, preferably something similar to anime like YuruYuri, Sabage-bu!, or Love Lab.
By the way, here's my MAL list:
https://myanimelist.net/animelist/AlanStratmann
Amaama to Inazuma
You've seen quite a few more anime than most people who post here, had to actually do a list-compare on MAL. Didn't get much out of it I'd call "must watch" but these are probably the most popular, best known ones I'd say are worth your time:
Working! (and sequels)
Servant x Service
Momokuri
Mikakunin
Flying Witch
I wouldn't say they're exactly like the shows you listed, but they're all comedies or SoL shows, generally feel good type series.

Azumanga Daioh
Good Luck Girl
D-Frag
I hope you enjoy these.
Would anyone be able to alter the sky in the back of this to be a brighter blue, as if during early afternoon? I've tried using the color replacement tool on paint.net and pixlr.com but can't quite get it to look right, just an odd shade of blue.

?
I need a bit of help downloading a .swf file /wsr/.
Isolating the file and using Ctrl + S doesn't work, as it saves a .htm/.html file that only opens it in my browser.
Is it possible to save the standalone flash file? I'm using chrome if that helps any.
(gif related) is how I feel about this.

Hey everyone, so my dad gets this really weird feeling sometimes where he feels very weak, detached and disconnected and he can sometimes smell strange scents that aren't actually there. It only lasts for a few seconds but it lingers around in a smaller intensity for a few minutes. He says it's a horrible feeling that's disorienting, and it's been happening about once a week ever since he got an allergy injection 3 years ago. He is 53 and I would seriously appreciate any advice. Thank you in advance

What's the best sub for monogatari ?
Coalgirls for everything they have available (Bake, Nise, Neko, Tsuki, Monogatari S2, Hana and Owari), Sajamba for Koyomimonogatari, Silux for Kizumonogatari 1, and Tactical for Kizumonogatari 2 and 3.
>>357493
You can pick up Coalgirls release for the series since they aggregate all the best subtitles into one release. They use ANE for Bake, UTW for Neko, CMS for Nise and Second season, and for typesetting they use Commie's styling properties from I think Nise onward.
>>357869
Coalgirls didn't sub anything for Monogatari I hope you realize, they just encoded the blu-rays using other other people's subtitles. In this case it's fine since Coalgirls happened to use the best available subs to make their releases, but you really should know what you're recommending to people
