I was playing Dark Souls and after I entered a boss area, the background music began stutter-looping and eventually the whole thing froze, leading to bsod

When it first rebooted, it asked to insert a boot device or select one after rebooting, which is what I did.

Now everytime I boot, the spinning circles loading screen just sits thre for 10 mins, then it says it is checking and repairing D drive. This takes around 30 minutes. Then it goes away, and after 5 mins or so the login screen comes up.

The whole thing is super slow. I start typing the password and it takes around 10 seconds for the characters to show up. Then it's stuck on "Welcome" for a long ass time. When the desktop shows up, only default windows icons (folder, txt file, recyc bin etc) are loaded, everything else is the notloaded white square. I can move the cursor with no delay but cant interact with anything.

This is leading me to think something is hogging the cpu and slowing everything to a literal crawl. I notice the laptop's hdd access light is always lit from startup regardless of any input I try (or not).

Ive researched a bit and there's sayings abouy touchpad drivers causing these issues (I noticed my touchpad's scroll function was one day randomly inverted, but I didnt pay it mind since I use a mouse), and would have removed the driver if I could even get the device manager open (maybe it will eventually, but im just sitting here and nothing's happening). I have also not installed anything but the game in the last month, and have had no problems or crashes since I installed the OS

Any help would be highly appreciated

I found this sword.
Can anyone help me figure out what kind of sword it is? And help me figure out what's written on it?

I think it's a ninjato or something, so I'd imagine that the writing would be Japanese.

Although at the base of the blade there's an inscription that says "China", so this might prove to be disappointing.

Even if it's not very authentic, I guess I'm still a bit curious about the writing.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hey guize, so I have a pretty powerful desktop pc. I5-6500, gtx 970, 8gigs ddr4, 500gb 850 evo... But I actually travel a lot. So I was thinking of setting up a remote connection from my laptop to my desktop when I'm away and I need ze horzpower, I do almost always have access to internet when away. And my question is as follows, is a laptop with a celeron n2940 (Bay Trail), 2gb of ram (could upgrade to 8gb-1333, I actually have 1 dead laptop at home, the ram should be ok), with access to fast enough internet, enough for what I'm going to do? And would it be powerful enough for light stuff (movies, light programming)? Celeron n2940 + 2(could get 8)gigs ram
1080p ips 14" display
32gb ssd (legit ssd with ~450 read/write, not emmc or flash)
500gb 5200rpm hdd (in box, but not installed, one of the features of this laptop is the easy to access secondary storage drive bay, so they give away free 500gb hdds which you could replace with a cheap ssd or something.)
1 usb 3.0, 2 usb 2.0, hdmi, ethernet and 3.5mm jack (duh, even toasters come with those nowadays)
No optical drive, even though the pictures suggest it has one, I could use the empty bay to store a ssd/hdd in (like, why the fuck not?)
Webcam + probably mic
The battery supposedly doesn't last as long as expected, but it's not like I need it to last any more than 30 minutes of 'alone-time' once in a month.

I have an issue with my Asus Maximus VIII Hero

The board ran great for a few months. I had an 980ti SLI set up on it, one referance the other one a EVGA hybrid.

I opened my case and switched the cards around to se if the referance would stay at lower temps in a different position. Thats all I did.

When I attempted to boot it up, the MOBO gave me a 00 error code. I know this is undefined.

I tested my power supply on another board. works fine

I took out all GPU/RAM/SATA/Perephials.

Still a 00 error code.

What could be wrong?
