Do you know of any media (books, movies, games, etc) that use existentialism and absurdism as major themes, or at least as themes mentioned/explored? It doesn't have to be blatantly obvious, for example, one of my favorite things about Undertale was the concept of somebody continuing to actively exist knowing the meaningless absurdity of their situation.
I'm talking about Sans and the timeloops.
So even if the relation is sort of convoluted or subjective, I'd like to see if anyone's got anything.
Camus' "The Stranger" is a good place to start, along with his Sisyphus essay. Jean Paul Sartre also wrote on the matter but I'm not familiar with any of his actual works in it besides his essays. Look him up!
Would Groundhog Day fit? Phil also questions his situation as he finds a way out of the repeating day.
Coincidentally, the story I'm writing may interest you (search Cold Bricks Glow).
I really enjoyed a scanner darkly (the book, although the film is also good). Though I'm not sure if it's the kind of thing that you're looking for.
You could also follow Jaden Smith on twitter.
I don't watch much anime, but I love One Piece. What other things might I enjoy weeb friends?
You will enjoy one punch man, trust me
Read One Piece instead

Good on you. You can tell someone is a drooling retard if they ever say anything positive about Ryuukishi07's works.

/wsr/equesting the publishers of some books.
When I was a kid, I had a collection of bedtime stories. God knows where they are now, but I feel like trying to find out who published them (being an Australian I'm assuming the publishing country was from here) because of potential nostalgia. Some of the stories were:
>A race featuring a boomerang and a bunch of animals in planes. The weather turned shitty so all the animals got lost and the boomerang won.
>A weatherwoman and dog team in a weather balloon recording weather conditions, which got bad. Included storms and winds. They lie about the forecast being sunny for tomorrow when they knew it would be icy.
>A hippo (or elephant) trying to go to the beach but being too fucking fat to hitch a ride in vehicles. Eventually a horse in a ute or something took them there.
>A tadpole who was considered cool, but then he became a frog and felt sad about it. Then he finds out that being a frog is fun.
I think the logo of the publisher had a cockatoo on it.
I remember another one. There was this weird submarine owner who took a bunch of people from a street on a sub ride. He was risky as shit and freaked everybody out. Then when he got back to land (the fucking thing had WHEELS), everybody jumped out and decided never to go in the sub again.
Okay forget it, I finally found it. Cocky's Circle Little Books. Fuck me some of those were great.
> page back and forward buttons right above left and right arrow keys on Thinkpad
> nearly impossible to avoid hitting them
> SharpKeys shows their scancodes, but won't let me remap them because it doesn't know what they are
Is there anything I can do to remap or at least disable these stupid keys? I was typing up a thread to post here and I've already lost what I was typing twice because of those fucking keys. I know SharpKeys is just a frontend that edits the registry, so could I manually remap these keys myself?
Pic unrelated.
These are the keys I'm referring to. BTW, I'm on Windows 7 64bit.
