How can I hack a password protected-PDF? I can open it view it no prob, but when I import into PS it asks for a password; i guess it's just edit proof - any suggestions?

just google for "remove pdf restrictions", there are even online services where you upload it and they let you download a fixed version. if you can print it, you can definitely remove it - just print it to another pdf (according to adobe the new pdf should have the same restrictions, but some pdf print tools just ignore it).

What's that MKV player that /a/ likes?

what am i even looking at? give us some context here. where does the cable come from? what do you want to connect it to? where in the chain from ISP to your computer are we?

8 pins... might be standard RJ45 (aka "network cable"). if whatever you bought didn't come with a chart, just look up pin assignments on google images or wikipedia that shit. i don't know, maybe the french do something weird. i'm just guessing here without further info...

If you're still there

I formatted my post incorrectly, this should work try it:

ffmpeg -i path/to/video.mkv -vf scale=1280:720 -c:a copy path/to/output.mkv

i didn't put the equals sign last time

'-c:a copy' copies the audio stream to the new file

Thanks. I finally used this
ffmpeg -i MyMovie.mkv -vf scale=-1:720 -c:v libx264 -crf 18 -preset veryslow -c:a copy MyMovie_720p.mkv
The video and audio remains excelent and now it plays perfectly, but the file size has like 100mbs extra.
Can someone explain why?
>>
>>48728
must be a higher video bitrate, because the audio track is literally the same with your command. many good encoders have really specific settings. libx264 comes with default profiles, so the default profile for 720p may already have a higher bitrate than a professionally encoded 720p video might have. then you just about doubled the default bitrate with the manual -crf setting. this constant rate factor tries to enforce a certail level of quality (which adjusts the bitrate).

-crf 23 is the default value. roughly every six steps lower doubles the video bitrate.

bitrate and file size are directly linked (bitrate x length = file size).

>Can someone explain why?
you asked ffmpeg to enforce a pretty high video quality and it did. that's the sucky (or awesome, depending on how you look at it) part with FFmpeg - it does exactly what you tell it to do, even if that's not very smart.

>inb4 what browser do you use?
>Google Chrome

Ok, /wsg/, I need help with something. I recently tried to download Horizon, an Xbox 360 modding tool, but...it was from the wrong website. After I figured that out, I quickly deleted it...but something stayed.

Now, whenever I open a new tab, it forces it to go to Yahoo search, and I do not like that at all. I've tried going through all of my settings. my extensions, but nothing worked.

Not to mention I sometimes, at the top of the screen I sometimes see this "Wajam" shit or something.

Hell, I've even installed Avast Anti-virus and scanned my computer, but that didn't work either.

How do I make this VERY persistent crap stop?

WAHT BROWSOR DO U US????????

Seriously though: it has probably been bundled with some other shit you've downloaded. Go to "control panel" → "uninstall a program" and search for it, then uninstall it. After that's done you reset your browser to defaults.

chrome://settings/
On startup ---> open a specific page.
Change that to new tab or set a different page.

Also on the same page check Manage search engines.

As for Wajam: http://www.wajam.com/howto/uninstall

M8 you have to pay attention to which boxes you check while installing programs.

This is all easily google-able shit but I'll spoonfeed anyway.

1. Select your pen and click that.

2. Unlock your layer by double clicking it, opacity will work.

3. Your paint bucket and gradient share the same slot, hold down the gradient button and the paint bucket will be there. If you see the little arrow on the bottom left of the toolbar that means there are more options to choose if you hold down your click(so basically all of them except the move tool and magnifying glass.

mhhhh..no,i still haven't resolved my problems

>the opacity still doesn't work even with a unlocked layer (remember that we are talking about the opacity of the pen,not of the layer)
>i found the bucket tool
