Hello, I just finished reading, "All Quiet on the Western Front," and, "A Farewell to Arms," in recent days. I've never really given a great deal of attention to the first world war, yet these books were absolutely captivating, leading me to watch plenty of documentaries and that channel covering the great war.
Can any of you recommend any good books set in, or covering the first world war? They can be fictional or nonfiction, accounts of the war from lieutenants and etc. I'd just like something good to read.

So I just recently bought VA-11 HALL-A, a game with a bunch of cute girls and great character designs. Unfortunately, Steam's in-game screenshot feature doesn't work on it, so I figured I could try to get the sprites themselves from the game's files. Unfortunately, I've never done this before, so I'm completely clueless. Anybody have any tips on how to do it?

accidentally posted this in /r/ bc i didn't realize y'all finally split them up, oops
anyways, using a brand new windows 10 dell laptop, know next to nothing about computers
copied all these files from a microsoft office 2007 home and student edition onto a flash drive. need to know if there's any way to modify these installation files so the programs never ask for activation but still work correctly
failing that, if you could hit me with a product key that'll work, i'd appreciate that, too
side note--would torrent, but the internet here sucks, i don't have a torrent program installed yet, and not sure how likely it is that microsoft will send me to cyber jail for the rest of my hacking life for trying it, so. yeah. help would be appreciated

I've been googling an anime that's old. I watched it years ago and just now remembered some parts of it. I just can't remember the name.
Some points I remember is Shangri-la, mysterious cloaked figure that controls shadows, and some girl who can see another dimension.
I don't know if the last one is spot on, but if anyone can spew off a couple of anime's that are similar or knows what I'm talking about I would be very grateful.
PS. It's not an anime actually called Shangri-la.

so today when i installed steam and tried to play the division i was greeted with an 8fps max on high settings. this shouldnt happen because i have a gtx 970 gpu with an i5 6600k processor. did i get a bad gpu or something?

I know this may sound retarded to some of you, but are there any risks in using a USB wall plug with 5V/0.85A to charge a 5V/0.5A device? what about a 5.1V/2.3?
I'm afraid this might damage the battery in the long run, but what's the point of the USB if that can happen?

No, don't. They'll just tell you to come back here.
"5v" is the voltage the supply will try to create. "0.85A" is the greatest current the load can accept before the power supply is outwith its design criteria.
You can use the supply with any device where the voltage is the same, and the current requirement is equal to or less than the current rating.
To be honest, you can probably get away with using the 5.1v supply, as almost all devices use their own power supply to clean up what you're feeding them.
