It is the best series I have watched in 2016
It deserves all the praise that it received, and then some more

>>191187
You're right, I mistranslated the second character, that changes everything. It actually says "faggot box" and "for mystical use by OP alone"
Can anyone translate please?

Don't say "thx" or "plz".
Also don't use ellipsis unless you're quoting someone.
What is wrong with my laptop? The screen remains off and it refuses to boot even when it is plugged in. Initially it wouldn't even charge or boot despite being plugged in until I removed the battery and put it back in. I dropped my laptop 2-3 times in the last year with the last time being one month or so so ago. Even since then the laptop has shut off randomly when on battery despite having enough juice left. I'm guessing now the motherboard has finally crapped out. Can anyone confirm or deny? Thanks
My guess is your battery is dead/damaged as that can lead to inaccurate readings and random drops/shutdowns.
It now doesn't work on battery because your charger is fucked (probably a snapped wire) and so won't charge your laptop.
>>191014
Well at first it wouldn't charge and turn on at all when I first ran into the problem. I then removed the battery and put it back in just in case the battery had short circuited (I've done this before) It turns on now but only when plugged into the charger. That's why I think it might be the motherboard
Wtf now it only charges and doesn't turn on...
Looking for anime recommendations.
All I've seen is Soul Eater, Mirai Nikki, Hellsing Ultimate, Gurren Laggan, and Evangelion.
Gundam is the only other mech anime I know of, but there seems to be quite a few variations of that, so not sure where to start there, it's got mechs so I'll probably check it out. Vampires are cool, but I have no clue if there's any anime about them; I really liked the later parts of Gurren Laggan where it all goes a bit insane (not that I didn't like the rest of it), and Alucard's ridiculous power, so that kinda stuff seems interesting to me.
http://animu-mango.wikia.com/wiki/Anime_Recommendations
A lot of people recommend Kill la Kill for Gurren Lagann fans. It's made by the same people in some of the same style. It's not mecha though. And I think most people find Gurren Lagann to be a little bit better. But you can still check it out, it's fun.
I don't really like mecha, but if you liked Evangelion, you can check out Rahxephon, often said to be poor mans Evangelion and a spiritual successor to it. Only seen half of it myself though.
You can also try Ideon, although I haven't seen any of it and have no idea if it holds up, but it was the inspiration for Evangelion.
>>191018
I actually just started Kill la Kill at the recommendation of my friend, first ep was cool. I'll look the other two up.
Help me find the song that starts at 1:30

it's really proved to be a challenge, considering that no shazam or any other track finder has found it, same goes for searching by lyrics or just common google searching

Recommendations for a good book how to talk and with and possibly attract women?
Action Comics #1
>>190872
Should I start with the Wonder Woman?
>>190870
Dungeons & Dragons: The Dungeon Master's Guide
I haven't watched any anime since like summer 2012.
What major shows have I missed?
>>190867
So the big ones since summer 2012 have been:
Attack on Titan
One Punch Man
Kill la Kill
Parasyte
Re:Zero
Noragami
Tokyo Ghoul
Akame ga Kill
Psycho-Pass
No Game No Life
Erased
and also Hunter x Hunter 2011 ended
Those ones are the absolute most popular ones but on top I also recommend Shirobako, Konosuba, Zankyou no Terror and Shokugeki no Soma
Some of the really great ones:
-Shirobako
-Shin Sekai Yori
-Non Non Biyori
Alright here's some good shit to catch you up:
(1/2)
>One Punch Man
Different kind of shonen. Parody/Action about a superhero who defeats every enemy with just one punch. Really well liked by pretty much everyone who watches it but not considered a masterpiece since it's more of a comedy than something with a great plot. You should really watch this one first as it's a new style of shonen that is what is currently in or popular.
This is by ONE, someone who started doing webcomics with the shittiest draings you've ever seen but his stuff was so good and popular that it was picked up as an actual manga series and anime.
>Hunter x Hunter
Became known as one of the best shonens, manga is ongoing but the anime series has an ending for now. Lenghty but worth it. Great characters and writting. If you watched Hunter x Hunter 1999 you definitely need to watch this version.
>Attack on Titan
Shonen action anime. Popular for normies who like shit like naruto
>Kill La Kill
Studio Trigger's new action/drama series. Good if you liked Gurren Lagann, but the popularity of KLK has died down after a couple years
>Erased
Pretty new series. It's only 13 episodes but it's easy and satisfying to watch no matter what genre you like. Not a masterpiece but it's pretty good. Slice of life/psychological/mystery.
>Mob Psycho 100
Currently airing. It's by the same guy who did One Punch Man. The author is so popular and liked by the public that he has two anime series just one year apart of eachother. I personally like it more than OPM and it's really enjoyable. Action/comedy/slice of life about a boy with psychic abilities. Pretty good.
>Osomatsu-san
Parody/meme/comedy show about sextuplet NEETs. A reboot of an old series of the 60's. Quickly became Japan's most popular series and is also popular out west. Non-linear episodes makes it easy and fun to watch. Alternative art style and just different all together. More of a Japanese "adult cartoon" than your typical anime.
I'd like to go through an anime that an anime that has a good focus on characterization and interactions in a realistic setting (preferably one that is somewhat close to everyday life) but doesn't have much of a conflict that would drive the series. Preferably with older characters, though anything other than lolis would still be fine by me. Maybe a bit more purposeful than just a simple SoL and longer than the usual 1cour, though as long as the characters and the world interact in a solid way that makes you care about them in the long run, I'm fine with anything. A good, thoughtful, psychological element would be quite welcome too.
Does anyone have any fitting suggestions? I'm plenty okay with VNs and manga too, though I usually have a slightly harder time with the latter.
Planetes has pretty much everything you need but it's a sci-fi sol
>>190855
this. however it's set in the year 2075
a few others i recommended
genshiken (very "realistic" the first 2 seasons were great)
working!! (comfy comedy about restaurant workers)
welcome to the nhk (probably one of the best series I've seen)
the tatami galaxy (it gets a little difficult at the beginning but the last ep was really good)
shirobako (anime about anime production)
Servant x Service
>woman joins a local government office to be a civil servant. Follows her and her coworker's daily lives. They are some wacky characters, but nothing too mad cap. Still a fairly down to earth setting. By the same author who did Working.
Barakamon
>a young rising star in the calligraphy world is exiled to a remote island by his father after he loses his temper and punches the exhibition director who criticized his work. Follows his daily life interacting with the villagers and exploring new aspects of his art.
