Could you recommend some games similar to FFT and Tactics Ogre?
FFTA is awesome
There's tons of Tactical RPGs out there, what exactly did you like about those games? The story? Battle System? Characters?
The closest I can think of without taking those in consideration is the TO prequel, Knight of Lodis.
Ok I've been out of the torrenting game for a while, but now I'm starting to do it more often again and I have questions.
Normally I would use Transmission and when I would get an album or movie I could choose which files I wanted before I started the download (like if I didn't want particular songs from an album I could un-check them or if I didn't want the sample with the movie I could un-check that). Now I can't/don't see how I can do that. It just makes me download every file in the torrent. So how can I do that again?
The other thing is.....what the fuck is a magnetized torrent? Before, while my torrent was downloading, the progress bar was blue, then it was green while seeding, then gray when done. Now it starts off at red before it starts the download. What's going on?
Thanks!
magnet is just the most important parts of a .torrent file, short enough that it can be represented by string of letters. this doesn't require as much web hosting space as a .torrent, and magnets can be, for example found in a google cache entry if the server goes down as it's just text.
the torrent client starts off with that small amount of info and tries to get the rest of the metadata (i.e. the contents of the full torrent file) then continues as normal.
idk about not being able to select individual files, I use qbittorrent and I can do that
Magnet is a reference to a magnet link.
Basically, without telling you stuff you could just look up on your own:
You can't select the files in the torrent before it starts because the list of actual files in the torrent and the blocks/pieces that make up those individual files are stored in the torrent file, which if you're using magnet links, you don't have immediately.
A magnet link is basically a link to the information which would be stored in the torrent files you're more familiar with. I use Transmission, so I can tell you that all you have to do is wait for the metadata to finish downloading, then you can select the files you do and don't want in your torrent.

Hey, I've been looking for that two slide comic with one slide with a Guy holding his head with words jumbled and black all around him, and the lower slide with him holding a womans face with the only word being "Her".

Thanks Anon. You're a dream
Can anyone help me with this? I am taking an analysis course and I need to show that if f is a C^1 function on [0,1] then the uniform norm of f is less than or equal to a constant independent of f times the norm of f in the H^1 Sobelev Space.
Already did it for the case f(0)=0

>>192847
Oh boy, I so much hated calculus in undergrad... I was the algebra type
OK, you sure ||.||_{C[0,1]} is the uniform norm? In my classes the uniform norm was always noted ||.||_{\infty}. Do we agree ||f||_{\infty} = sup_{x \in [a,b]} |f(x)|, for f a C^0([a,b]) function of course?
Also we agree that C^0([a,b]) is the set of continuous functions on [a,b] and C^1([a,b]) is the set of continuous functions on [a,b] that can be derived and have a continuous derivative on [a,b]?
(derivable=differentiable, I'm not sure what word is the right one in English)
The only thing I remember for sure is that you never even try to prove norm inequalities, you only prove the squared inequality, it's must easier.
>>193180
And by the way, continuously differentiable functions (i.e. class C^1 functions) are not just continuous (i.e. class C^0) but also uniformly continuous and even Lipschitz continuous and I'm pretty sure that's gonna be needed to prove that inequality, like the C constant is gonna be some sort of Lipschitz constant
Is that how you proved the case f(0)=0? Through Lipschitz continuity?
>>193198
Nah disregard what I said, the Lipschitz constant wouldn't be independent of f
Our medical school is making class shirts that "Pills Out For Harambe", but we need a pic of Harambe wearing a white lab coat. Can anyone photoshop a white coat on any Harambe photo for us?
Your efforts for making this image will be the picture on nearly 100 future physicians backs and an upload of the actual tshirt about a month from now.
how about "CANCER KILLS ALMOST AS MUCH AS BAD PARENTING"?

Hi, can you recommend me some stuff?
I've been watching some laid back shit recently and I'm more fond of this casual style.
Examples of this genre would be GJ-Bu, Amanchu, and Joukamachi no dandelion

It was sad? I enjoyed it.
Ok, I'm feeling like getting into anime. I hate those big pictures of recommendations though. I'm just going to list what I've seen and liked and then please just tell me what to watch. I'll briefly look up each suggestion and if it seems alright I'll just watch it. I hate making decisions with lots of options so that's a good way to go.
I've liked: Akira, most of the Ghibli stuff I've seen, FLCL, Dead Leaves, Paranoia Agent, and that's pretty much it. Attack on Titan was good but horribly paced and repeated too much.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your assistance in this matter.
>>192799
There's generally a few good anime that everyone should watch and is generally good for newcomers. After you've watched this stuff and anything others recommend you should just go through one of those big recommendation charts.
Cowboy Bebop
>Space Bounty Hunters living day to day and running from their past
Full Metal Alchemist (2003 and Brotherhood, both good)
>Story of two young alchemists working for the military, scarred by their misguided attempt to bring back their dead mother
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann
>Two friends find a mecha and help fight for an oppressed humanity against all odds
Steins;Gate
>A ragtag amateur laboratory accidentally discover time travel
Trigun
>Two insurance agents are sent to warn people off the most dangerous man in the wasteland and the first human disaster, the outlaw 'Vash the Stampede'
Neon Genesis Evangelion (+ End of Evangelion)
>Shinji is recruited by his father to become the last, best hope for humanity against the Angels by piloting the Evangelion machines.
>>192803
Thanks! I've seen a little Cowboy Bebop and Full Metal Alchemist and kind of liked cowboy bebop but full metal alchemist didn't seem so great. I'll check out the other ones but I might jump to Neon Genesis Evangelion because I've heard about it so often. Thanks!
And I'll add more to my list if there are more suggestions. Honestly I just hate choosing, so I'll go through sequentially.

Also, specifics, do you just want it with transparent background?
Like I said in the old thread, it won't work well as a template because of the hand and the cut-off head.

Decent animes on Netflix? I like cute grills and banter.

You'd be better off listing what's on netflix in the first place.

Can I safely assume you mean streaming, as opposed to DVD? If so, then...
- Aldnoah.Zero
- Durarara (both seasons)
- Expelled from Paradise (It's not the greatest, but it's a movie, so much less of a time commitment than a whole series.)
- Fate/Zero and UBW
- Gargantia
- Gunslinger Girl (An old favorite of mine. First season is great. Second season is far inferior, only worth a watch if you like the first season and become a hardcore fan.)
- Little Witch Academia (They're movies, and short ones at that, so, again, not as much of a time commitment.)
- Madoka Magica (I prefer the series, but the first two movies are more or less a retelling of the series if you prefer. Avoid the third movie.)
I need either a place to torrent some Adobe Premiere Pro plugins, or a way to extend the free trials on some of the popular plugins. Plz halp. thankyou

Let f : A → B be a function. Show that
f is bijective ⇐⇒ ∀G ∈ P(A), f(A\G) = B\f(G), where P(A) is the set of all subsets of A.
I've been looking at this for many minutes, close to an hour, and I absolutely cannot say anything about this. It just seems so vague, and any attempt at a proof just ends with assumptions and stating facts without actually proving anything.
>>192719
It does seem logical indeed, at least for the => implication.
Undergrad math is far behind me and I'm gonna go to bed because it's late in my timezone, but the key to proving this equivalence lies very probably in the definition of bijectivity (or injectivity and surjectivity): I can distinctly remember that there is such a definition expressed in terms of element image/antecedent (f is bijective <=> forall y in Target set, there is a unique x in Source set such that y=f(x)) and another, equivalent one in terms of subset image/antecedent (but I can't remember it)
Perhaps find that particular definition in your textbook and try to see what you can get from it?
Good luck, oh and G \in P(A) is just a convoluted way of saying that G is a subset of A of course (I hate this P(A) notation)
The function is bijective (one-to-one and onto or one-to-one correspondence) if every element of the codomain is mapped to by exactly one element of the domain. (That is, the function is both injective and surjective.) A bijective function is a bijection.
The function f: x--->y is bijective iff for all y element of Y, there is a unique x element of X such that f(x)=y.

Doing a coding assignment for c++, the program asks for the area of a triangle:
(height * base) / 2;
Now it's asking for the circumference of a triangle. For the life of me I cannot find a solid source on the internet explaining to me where to find the circumference of a triangle, the code assignment instructions don't even tell me what type of triangle it is.
It's not really a coding request for help either, I just can't find a way to implement this code using this unknown formula.

Hey guys, I spent the last days and today several hours to get it working.
I've got a problem with my USB stick, I can't access it, neither format it or do anything else with it. The system somehow recognizes it, but it shows only a ghost version of it (pic related, it's in german sorry, but you get the idea, it's /:f)
When I click it, it says no stick found, please insert it. When I take it out, the ghost disappears. The stick's LEDs blink continously and quick which usually indicates writing.
CHKDSK can't find my drive either and in the partitions it looks empty, however my PC recognizes the hardware as a Corsair USB Device so it can somehow communicate.
Tried a LOT of tips out there and literally none worked.
Just want to know if I can somehow rescue it, or if it's done for good, because that'd be a shame.
Never thought I'd say it, but you're my last hope friendos.
>more pics will be taken if requested.
Here in the partitions it doesn't appear up there but down in the list, it appears but seems to be empty or something.
It's a recent error and it always worked like a charm until one day.
I don't care if it's formatted, because there's only junk on it.
Also I'm open for any experimental solutions that might probably wreck the drive.
Tried at other ports with no success, any other USB devices work properly.
Try testdisk, if that can't fix your issue, then it's hopeless
>>192659
Meh, it doesn't even appear on the screen.
Thanks for the response but maybe it's done, a damn shame, it wasn't too old but old enough to void the guarantee.
