I am in the same spot as you...
I think I will travel around the world since I have no attachments and no goals in life so far...
It is really my last shot, I will not try anymore if travelling does not fulfill me at all
>>
>>1853796
I'm in the reverse. I have a wife and a daughter with another on the way. I love them with everything I am but the burden of taking care if them is phenomenal. I think back sometimes thinking I made the wrong decision. Not because I want less responsibility, but I think that maybe i committed a crime against them by being attached to me. All my flaws and shortcomings, which are a multitude, are now forced upon them. And they will suffer for it. I feel like I'm never going to be enough.

None the less, I try.
>>
>>1853917
Only thing that matters is that you try, the rest is bullshit. No parent or husband can give their child/wife EVERYTHING.

Make the most you can out of what you have, and you will be a success.

its near impossible to do in our generation, our parents grew up in a totally different world than we did, mine had more access to credit, job benefits and good jobs with actual weekends, and they dont have a fucking clue to what its like out there today.

you can move there
what is holding you down?
wage slaving like a brainless robot?
a family that has given up on you already?
a partner that barley tolerates your presense?
all your peers are brainless monkeys that are brainwashed in to oblivion?
a country that you dont even feel like you belong to because of how little you have in common with everyone?
a grey and futile future that will end up in a anticlimatic death like a car accident?
will you wait untill the desperation eats through your soul and you end it just out of sheer desperation?
i moved to 6 diferent countries accross 3 continets
moving is not dificult at all
learning a new language is not dificult at all
learning who you really are and what are you capable of... that my fred is a totally diferent question.

do as you feel.
life is to short to wage slave
you could be dead tomorrow for what you know
live so you wont have to regreat everything you did that last second before your heart stops.

About three years ago i came home to my apartment with my roommate crying in a corner and a noose ripped in half from the ceiling. The material it was made out if wasn't strong enough and he felt like he can't even kill himself right.
It really sucks being in a situation like that, we talked for hours about what happened and eventually got him help. He's alive today, and though I've moved out long after that we still meet eachother every week for lunch or to go to the movies.
I told him if he ever tries again (succeeds or fail) I'll be disappointed in him. He has told me that is what is keeping him from trying. "I used to think no one loved or cared about me, but now i know I've got you."

>I've never had a friend as tried and true as you
>To walk at nights around the bay or sail the ocean blue.
>Or wander 'round the wooded wilds in lead of the other few
>Or share a lazy rainy grey afternoon snooze.
>There's never been a pair quite like me and you.
>As determined as we are we've always pulled through.
>Although we're strong the time has come to go our separate routes
>But with you gone I can't move on without you at my boots.
>The adventure's brought us here, my friend - our journey's finally through
>And I'll never have a friend again as tried and true as you.

>It's all one big joke, ain't it, anon?
No, anon.

While it's true there is no direct meaning to life, and all that you do will eventually be lost in time, it's not just one big joke. Life is what you make of it. It's meaningful because YOU make it so.

It's an observer's universe, anon. What you've seen and done, what you've lived and fought for, who you've shared your time with - none of it is meaningless so long as YOU find meaning in it. And you may find no meaning at all. It may just be pointless emptiness for you - but know it's not life that's empty. It's you that's empty.

I certainly hope that's not the case. You're important, anon. You deserve better.

*Sigh*

Your comment just unintentionally hit me real bad.

"it takes more than love to make a good relationship work."

My girlfriend of four and a half years broke up with me 2 weeks back, can't say I blame her, since we moved to this city a year ago I have spent almost no time with her, haven't taken her out much either. I just work 4 days a week and go to uni 4 days aswell. I work nights/days and never gave her any attention. Any time I had I ended up going to pubs with mates thinking that it was a stress release. Not to mention I'm an absolute cunt when we argue. I can't count how many times I've told her that I want to break up out of frustration and weakly apologiesed for it the next day, but one night I said it, and she didn't accept my apology in the morning. Now that she's gone I wish I could take it all back.

We agreed to be friends but unfortunatly as we split while I just quit my old job and started a new one, I couldn't justify moving out straight away until things are stable. In the next two weeks I will be moving, found a place and everything but for the meantime I am still living here, sleeping in the same bed. We still love eachother, we've even agreed to still hold hands outside and hug in bed before we sleep until I get out which is when I will block her on everything and try to forget her. She's asleep atm while I sip my beer and browse /feels/ but about half an hour ago I heard her talking in her sleep saying "I love you Johnny". Fucking kills me but I know we can't get back together.

My bad for rambling, I just haven't been able to get this shit off my chest, sorry for shitpost.

You don't even know what actual hardship is. My mother was born in the French colony of Madagascar. When it decolonized, my grandmother had to send her children, one-by-one, to Macau in a boarding school, and my mother would only see her family twice a year. They lost all of their money that wasn't able to be smuggled out. Once they were all there, and China started taking over, they were sent stateside, where she became summa cum laude at the college she was attending on her student visa, and met my father. After several bank jobs raising my brother and myself, she is head of a company that her and my father built.

That other guy's right, you're just being a bitch. Your setbacks are legitimate gripes, but are not an actual struggle.

anon you dont know shit about me, i became homeless while working two full time jobs and couldn't afford housing because the rent is to damn high, and you come at me with this bullshit my struggle does not invalidate other peoples struggle, but today struggles are different than yesterdays, and it vastly depends on where you live. Your colony life with housing and other benefits provided to you by the colonizing governments are vastly different to a world where you are on your own for everything.

If you are in the USA, two full time jobs at $10 a hour are barely going to carry your ass off the street in a major city. Why do you think there is a "small house movement" in this country, why do you think there is a "van dwelling" community in this country. Life in this country is increasingly difficult if you don't know the right people to get you cushy jobs making over 35k a year. The baby boomer life is literally unreachable for people of my generation. You can't compare that to Macau, a city that has nothing but money pouring in from all sides like a jewish bukkake fest, so you get typhoons every now and then, everybody's happy while they make 3000 a month as a "average" wage right?

There is a lack of welders, machinists, and other learned industrymen where businesses are putting out advertisements on radio and television to find workers. If you didn't need the bohemian megacity lifestyle, you can easily find work in this country.

Taking two McJobs in downtown Manhattan is the work equivalent to majoring in liberal arts. It's as simple as going to where cost of living doesn't necessarily require what would be considered an upper-middle class salary just to get by.

And no, your false equivalence of living standards doesn't hold a candle to being chased out of two separate countries by Africans and Communists in a life of separation. You said the colony was taking care of them? I said it collapsed and they became refugees, so you know nothing.
>>
>>1857128
Education isn't free, trade school isn't free. You can't get those skills without money, and when your money can barely keep you afloat and alive you're not going to get any skills Think about things for a while before you say such retarded shit.

>Taking two McJobs in downtown Manhattan is the work equivalent to majoring in liberal arts. t's as simple as going to where cost of living doesn't necessarily require what would be considered an upper-middle class salary just to get by.

You are severely out of touch with the USA for you to say something like that.

>And no, your false equivalence of living standards doesn't hold a candle to being chased out of two separate countries by Africans and Communists in a life of separation.

Don't use the struggle of others for things that have nothing to do with it. Millions have been kicked out of the colonies when they reached independence, a middle class existence was still attainable then. You don't seem to understand how near impossible that is today, jobs are dwindling, automation is more and more prevalent, wages are lower today than they were in the 1980s for lower skilled work. I know welders who are working and make minimum wage, I know a welder who works for himself and is barely making it. Quit pretending shit is easy its not, people struggle everyday to just survive we're not talking about bohemian lifestyles either.

The businesses are literally paying you to be a student and then work for them.

Maybe if you realized that "flyoverland" exists, then your opinion would not be completely warped on the issues of cost of living or job availability. A middle class existence is not only tenable, but companies are actively hungry for skilled workers if you are willing to relocate. The "you're special, so follow your dreams" lie of employment by boomers is the mental divide, because we will always need people who can do hard work.

Nothing is easy. Such is life.

I think trying hard not to project your perceived failings on to them will produce dividends. I love my father, but looking back (and knowing him as well as I do now), I can't help but think his constant hounding and invasive parenting style were perpetuated by a self-hatred; a constant desire to make sure we didn't end up like him. My decisions are my own and I don't pin my failings on him, but I would hope I had the capacity to approach parenting with a critical and tempered mindset. Easy to say I'm sure, but I just wonder how I would be different if he gave me a more accurate gauge on whether what I was doing was "objectively" right or wrong, as oppose to saying everything I did wasn't 100% perfect.

God, speed.

japan is a dificult country to emigrate to because of their imigration policies
but there is always a way
for example
>go there for vacation
>most countries allowe you to stay there for a period no longer than 3 months as vacation
>find some jap girl
>get in a relationship with her
if you marry her you can stay there indefenetly
also
>get some marketable skills
>learn japanese from your country
>get a certification that you know japanese
>now its time to get a job
>and then your visa is done
dont try to blame it on me since you chose a dificult country to emigrate to
its still not imposible
there are 3 million imigrants in japan that are there on a work visa
you just gotta step up your game

Battle of Grozny, First Chechen War.(1990s) Russians pushed into the city with huge Armour power but little infantry support. Every Chechen rebel and their mother had an RPG and completely fucked up the Russians. They knocked out most of there APCs and tanks.

its cool but its got nothing to do with endorphin. if it was "an" endorphin it would be a single molecule not that giant blob. I looked it up and its just a protein taking waste from one part of a normal cell to another. that's literally it. That's cool enough on its goddamned own. why the fuck did they feel the need to lie about it.

God this one hurts.
Since I started working from home I can do weeks without talking to anyone. I have not even seen another person for 13 days now, I am not sure if I am even able to hold a conversation anymore.

>We still love eachother, we've even agreed to still hold hands outside.
So why are you breaking up?
"I love you Johnny"
She probably wasn't even in sleep and wanted to hint you she still wants to be with you and regrets the breaking up.
I know it's hard to see forest from the trees but come to fuck on.

Of course the answer was yes.

>more access to credit
When I was a wee lad the doctors would come to your house and bill you. At the end of the month you'd pay them $50 or so and everyone was happy.
My folks didn't use credit and got by better than people do now. The early 60s kicked ass.
BTW i'm from Kansas, my proxy's from Southampton.

So don't live together then. It's simple.

I've cried four times in the past decade. This was the first: my dog just passed and I held her just like that at the Vet's office. This scene had me bawling in front of my buddies. Miss her a lot still
>>
>>1852893
Wait, she was in that hospital but once she got out she would go back there when walking her dog and wanted to take one of the patients there with her for the walk or did she want to take one of the patients for a walk as a substitute for her dog?

Is he also saying at 1:53 "now that's a person that's immoral?"

"That was a person who was moral."

I'm starting to see why people say Canadians have accents.

To be fair the hospital was right to deny the lady, those were very unstable patients, letting one of them loose is a unfathomable risk. If one of them got out and killed somebody or themselves the hospital would be fined and the budget significantly cut or worse shut down. Then you just fucked all the other patients for the sake of this one disturbed woman.

Something tells me these are the most judgmental, self-absorbed "secret club"ers in the world.
Especially the guys at the table. I bet they play poker and take it really seriously, too. They sing well, so they must be real important people.
That codified small-talk, and "sophisticated", "manly" sort of humor that's all just a battle simulation of sorts. They don't understand respect as a universal concept - a baseline demonstration of humanity. It's a competition. You have to "earn" it, and it's like pulling teeth.
And once you do, it's one slip-up, one misplaced emphasis on the wrong syllable and you drop from best mate to common trash, and their proud of it, the faithless dogs. I bet you.
"Strong sense of culture and history" my ass.

You know wolves in nature are more forgiving to one another, more patient with transgressions of "pack-law" than dogs? When a house dog steps out of line near one that hasn't had it's bottom status sufficiently reinforced, they flip their shit. It's because we bred dogs to be hyper-subservient. It's bitch behavior.
Fuck these people and their beautiful music. They should've invited me back.

He's a delinquent/social outcast.
When you're an outcast you see yourself as a bad person and no one cares about you.
It's a foreign experience when someone is nice to you. You have to learn how to take love and give it and sometimes old habits die hard.

Though those terms were not in great evidence in the 19th century, some literary references to "fore-bitter" and, less so, "fo'c'sle song," attest to their use even prior to the appearance of "shanty."[
same article says this is older and has no mention of blacks but ill keep reading to see if freed slaves could even work on boats that were sailing
