I can barely see your wallpaper. Get rid of the dock, the wallpaper and some of the text. Maybe spread it over multiple screens. You can also use KLWP to make an app folder that looks like a single icon instead of the cluttered default folder.

I started designing wallpapers with bars and stuff on photoshop, it looked pretty bad in the beggining.
If you want to learn KLWP, i think the best way is having some anons presets and fucking around with the settings, changing stuff and seeing what everything does.

I laid out the rectangles in Photoshop and found the transparent hex pattern online. I just laid that over each rectangle and cropped it. There's probably a better way to do it but it was getting late and I just wanted it done.
The dots and text were all done in KLWP, first time using this as well. The rectangle behind the notification bar was done in KLWP too because I was too lazy to figure out the spacing in Photoshop

For Samsung devices on Nougat, you can use this overlay: https://www.reddit.com/r/GalaxyS8/comments/6imolc/changeremove_lock_screen_clock_no_root_new_method/, and also use Clean Lock Substratum (clean statusbar only). Root isn't required.

Make a global switch. Call it "play/pause" for example. Then make two icons (I assume you'll use FontIcon objects, but it really doesn't matter). Give each icon an animation: react on global switch "play/pause", fade in/out, max speed. Then give them both touch actions to toggle the switch (and for the thing you want them to do).

I'm trying to make a second page to put apps on, but touch actions I assigned earlier seem to react on both pages, and those will probably interfere when I assign new touch actions to launch apps. So my question is, how do I assign a touch action to a single page, or how do I make it so that a touch action only activates when the object it's assigned to is visible? New phone new wall. 1 million hours in MS paint. Not sure I'm sold on the hexes, it didn't come out as well as I thought it would. Maybe I need more hexes and smaller spacing between them. It would only do that if you have it set as a default. In his case he might alternate players based on which file type they are looking to play.

Also depending on the file manager your phone uses it could be ugly and intuitive as hell. I know for me its way easier to open mx player and use its file manager to find the video I want.

In short different strokes for different folks, don't force your autism on others. A much better way to critique his rice would be the icon labels or icon style choice. Don't question the "why" just the way it looks.
