I think if you're going to keep the tentacles outside, you should blur them like the background is blurred. I like what you're going for, but I think only whats in the crosshair should be unblurred. Give that shot :)

I love this stuff because it combines my favorite things: anime grills, nice landscapes/photos, and aesthetics. Usually I have to pick one or the other (anime or landscape/photo, or if by miracle both there's no excellent aesthetic, clean, stylish feel), but with this style I get both.
