Be nice & post rice.
who needs colors when you have gray
someone please tell me what determines the border colour for GTK panels
I tried setting every single colour in my scheme to #FF0000 in a last ditch effort, and they still remain black!
Broke my second monitor but other than that it's all the same.
I pick out negatives, just for fun.
Reminder: Rice is subjective, not objective; you do not need to listen to what I have to say but I can usually find a lot to say.
you will bring life to your ricer never.
you two can't into fonts.
that visualiser is beyond tacky.
you fake transparancy with rainmeter. :)
it's so big, waah~
despite its size, the fonts don't look as nice as they could and I would go as far as saying they are shit.
Not really feeling inspired today, so meh rice as a result.
I like that rainmeter in the top left.
I like your shadows
Still loving this.
I'm really liking this.
How's the wm going?
I think your borders should be a bit thinner.
That taskbar is sex.
Looks cluttered but...idk...comfy? Not sure how to put it.
Still VERY good.
While I like your desktop, I really don't like solarized. It looks terrible. I really think you could pick a better blue to use.
Yours has been coming along nicely too. I'm not a huge fan of how you're seperating the posts on 4chan though.
lel you made a funny
I actually don't use much else. I use firefox for web browsing and then my terminal for pretty much everything else.
Not a huge fan of your bright magenta green and blue colour. They just seem to bright.
Good as usual.
Noooooo, that sucks. You know what your gonna replace it with?
I like it except for the foobar font size.
I haven't worked on it for a few days, but it's going pretty well. The next thing I need to do is make it so you can move windows around in the window list. It's super easy to do, but I just haven't gotten around to it. But it's usable enough that It's what I use daily for over two or so weeks.
Also nice as usual. I've always liked that wall.
m-m-my fonts are s-shit?
Lol its just Segoe UI and Consolas
>Maybe they only look bad on your tiny little screen ;)
I'm also curious as to how one does pop-ups with rainmeter, like yours. I think that looks really cool. Any chance you would share the skin? It would be cool to try to incorporate something ike that into my (more so Phait's) text-based launcher.
I tried solarized out for a day or two, and the only thing I kept was the blue background color. I like it a lot. Is only color, why do you hef to be mad?
It's not like you need to look at 6 album tracks at once. I think it's best this way.
The fonts were fine, i just meant their quality. Some look okay and then some have awfully jagged edges man. pic related
As for rainmeter: http://a.pomf.se/ztgyau.png : pic related is them all activated, just to show off :)
It's not a skin I'd be interested in sharing, really, but toggleable rainmeter pieces are pretty easy.
Gotcha. I gave out my homepage and now every noob uses it, so I understand why you wouldn't want to share. I might try to implement a similar feature though, because that looks really useful.
Newfag here. Simple but i like that way
Question. What is that console with the windows icn? How do i get that?
And how do i hide the icons in the top right?
Hello /w/, I've only been using BBLean for a day, so be gentle.
Anyone know how to get Bitmap fonts working in the Linux version of Steam? I'm using Dina and Deshou.
Super bored, so have another scrot. Might as well rate too.
It's such a mish mash of colours. Also your foobar and taskbar are a complete mess.
Nice, but those icons look ugly.
Your colours are inconsistent, but It's a good start.
Not sure, sorry. But the rest of your setup looks pretty good.
What colors would you suggest anon?
I'm using the red on the workspace and clock to break away from it being all white. I was thinking about making the rest of the taskbar the same yellow as her jacket.
Oh sorry, I misunderstood your post. What icons are you talking about? You mean in bblean? If so, then you can shift-right-click on your tray icons to hide them, and alt-right-click to display the hidden ones again.
You also might want to disable your workspace switcher; if you edit bbLeanBar.rc you can put an exclamation mark in front of features you want to hide. So for example, to hide the switcher you should have exclamation marks before the following lines:
Hope that helps; if you have any more questions feel free to ask.
You nailed your first attempt at bblean. Consistent colors on your homepage would make it look better though. Also consider disabling shadows on your windows to match your bblean. That's only a personal preference though.
You're using Vi / Vim to code right? How long did it take to get used to it? It's very counter intuitive at first.
It's an option in advanced system settings. I think its the same on all versions of windows, but here are multiple links just in case.
How does this look? I'll change the startpage colors in a bit.
Looks better :)
I wouldn't use that taskbar font though ;) maybe something more legible:
>DejaVu Sans Mono
I hate to keep bumping, but I really liked Segoe UI.
Question for windows 8 users, are you aware of a way to change scrollbar color? I've been fucking around in regedit for a while but I can't find a value for it. Tried screencapturing and looking up the RGB value, but still no dice. Sorry for being stupid, I spent a lot of time on /w/ a few years ago, and am trying to get back into not having a shitty desktop after changing OS.
Are you using the regular icons or small icons for your taskbar?
for things that can be changed via registry, yes. some thing can also be changed in a .dll file bundles with a vs. windows visual styles are a structural shitpile.
regular size but all custom, so I can just change the size that way.
I have changed the color of "scrollbar" under desktop to 10 10 10, but it has stayed at 240 240 240. I read somewhere scrollbar color is linked to button color.
I haven't found a visual style that looks at all cleaner than the stock aero, to my eyes at least. I had 7 set up okay with one a while ago. I've found tweaking certain bits of the registry works pretty well, like colors and scrollbar width, but evidently it doesn't include anything.
I'm trying to make it black, so 0 0 0. Theme is default aero. Is that doable? It would be great if you could, anon.
Been very thorough now, it's definitely nowhere on either regedit color tabs.
I would use her skirt colour instead of the red, and her coat colour instead of the white.
Yeah, I'm using vim. It's not that hard to get used to. You only need to know a few basics to be able to start using it, and then you can just gradualy learn the rest of it's awesome features to make you a faster programmer.
I don't like the icons on the desktop but o.k. overall
Shaping up really well since last night! The border he's talking about is about 1px all the way around your taskbar (see attached). You can leave it if you want, but I would change the color if you decide to (match the clock bg). I agree with Kuro about the firefox, but I don't really have suggestions for that since there're so many design paths. I like the render size. Makes the desktop less empty when windows are closed.
this ss boggles me
It's what I'm here for.
Oh also border edits are really easy compared to changing other things in visual styles. Sticking with your current scheme, I would make the color the skirt red. That would look niiiiceeee. If you're in the US, I think you can buy WSB for ~$25 (since Europoor is finally living up to its name lol). There's also some software mentioned a few times that's free but less featured.
11/10 rename neckbeard internet protocol access to neckbeard internet protocol service (NIPS)
on a side note why the fuck do I have to type captcha errytime now
Yeah, I know the spacing is off. I didn't bother fixing it since I knew it would be temp.
Something like this? Only thing about this is that Litestep can only do so much, and I doubt it can display lats received message from let's say Skype. I was thinking more along the lines of a User circle that contained shortcuts to various things, or showed unread message counts.
