Post a few wallpapers from the show that first got you into anime.
...and if I'm being completely honest
Not anime, not a wallpaper. Remind me what the fuck you're doing here?
No shame. It was a good show.
Sadly, the only wallpaper I have from ashita no nadja.
oh boy, how much i loved this when I was younger
Can't remember the name of the first one I watched, but this was probably my favorite one that was on Toonami (G Gundam was the first?)
I can't remember the name of my first anime, it was over fifteen years ago and I was too young to remember clearly. But when I think about what got me into it this is what comes first to mind.
I'm sure Naruto was big for me when I was younger, but after I watched the first season of Haganai, I was hooked. There was no going back.
twas long ago, back when comcast first introduced On Demand, and they had anime.
I watched the fuck out of Evangelion.
i watched clannad and i hated it so much, i found it so much melodrama, I was glad it ended, doesn't even got slightly sad.
I'm not trying to criticize your taste, I really just want to know why you liked it?
Not him, but some people just like drama, romance, and tragedies. You can call it "melodramatic", but that is of course a subjective opinion. I felt it was great, and it made me cry a lot, so it succeeded in making me enjoy it. Anyways, this is /a/ shit and doesn't really fit here.
>doesn't even got slightly sad.
I know it's not the norm, but Rozen Maiden somehow.
Nobody posted Azumanga Daioh yet? Was the gateway for me and p much all my friends
I'm surprised nobody else is with me on this.
Actually not surprised this is here, this is the granddaddy of good robot anime tho
What is this anime? looks nostalgic and cool
Even though this isn't exactly a show, this is what got me into anime 9-10 years ago.
There was a screening at the Union when I was at Uni. Saw the first 4 episodes and wondered why it ended in a cliff hangar. Couple years later got the DVDs after I graduated and actually had money.
The first anime I watched? Maybe Dragon Ball, maybe Pokémon, maybe Captain Tsubasa... I can't really tell.
The one that got me into this? Clearly Black Lagoon.
Watched DB/DBZ, Yu Yu Hakusho, and BoBoBo on Toonami when I was younger, but never really got into anime..
until I found this bad boy
Not technically the first anime I watched, but ti was definitely the one that really got me into it.
Technically the first anime I watched and enjoyed was Hellsing, but Ghost in the Shell was what got me into anime in the first place.
It took me 20 years to discover a beautiful world.
15 years ago man...and now it's over T_T
not the first anime I watched, but the first one that got me into anime.
Its really underrated anime
Im probably the only one here who was hooked by it :(
Akame Ga Kill! Is the best anime I have ever seen ever.
Must have been a trip watching Dokuro for the first time, it left me hella confused about anime.
Surprised there isn't all that much Ghibli around here.
One of the first anime movies I remember seeing. Was on starz or HBO back in the day - never saw anything like it before and made me discover other movie titles at first like Ghost in the shell, Akira, appleseed, princess mononoke then into series. Wasn't too long after cartoon network started adult swim
>tfw no season 2
No one really cares about my story but
This was the first anime I downloaded. So the first one I ever saw that wasnt on TV
"My First Anime" is a hard one, because I marathoned some classic Toonami and this other channel that showed anime over at my Aunt and Uncle's.
Ronin Warriors was the first, I remember that clearly, but on the same day I watched Bebop, Witch Hunter Robin, Cardcaptor, Tenchi, DragonBall, and a few others that don't stick out.
Shame there's not any really good Ronin Warriors wallpaper. Wouldn't mind seeing a reboot of that, it was a cool show.
I just realized that Golden Time got me into animes.
feeling super nostalgic from all these. must return to childhood
I'm told this is a hell of a "first" anime, but I wouldn't have done it any other way
I love you so much for acknowledging my favorite and first anime.
Because its a fairly new anime. For it to be your first either implies you got into anime later in your life, or you are very young.
Also, There wasnt really a specific anime that got me into it that I can recall. If I had to pick, it'd be Kenshin or DBZ.
Start with that Sailor Moon, Pokemon, any old as shit toonami anime. Outlaw Star Trigun, Yu Yu Hakusho...
Damn, I love official bleach art. Shame it was so shitty as an overall series.
You're right about that, I dropped it around 170 and deleted everything except the first 69 episodes, which are great a stand alone story arc and I definitely do recommend to others.
Ghibli was nice, but Mushi-shi got me, and I still think it's the best.
saw yu yu hakasho years ago on adult swim by accident. that was the beginning
Not one of my greatest moments, but it worked.
Actually. More of Cowboy Bebop. But they were both kinda at the same time so, I count it as a tag-team.
Got recommended to watch Elfen Lied. Pretty much started my interest.
It was a show that was basically about the hardships EVERYONE faces, not just the hardships of faggots.
Why wouldn't you like it?
>Pic unrelated but it is the anime that got me into anime.
>I liked zombie stuff and shit like that but thought all anime was shitty Naruto/One Piece shit
>Ecchi as shit show changes my mind
Think it was like my 5th or 6th anime but boy am I glad I watched it. Remains one of my favorites.
>not knowing what Neon Genesis Evangelion is
Anon, I shiggy diggy but it's Evangelion.
Used to stay up all night as a kid and watch marathons of Ranma 1/2.
Also got into anime through this show.
To love ru, i saw dragon ball, ranma 1/2, sakura card captor in the past but i didnt even knew it was called anime so, my first legitime anime was to love ru :v
Pretty sure this one sparked the fire. Was a good one but was so fucking long.
GunxSword was the first one i watched, can still watch it now even though it's nowhere near masterpiece level.
I watched this one first... Dunno why
scince then Pink hair's the shit
When I was 10 this girl that sat next to me in math was reading this. She let me borrow it and it became bbys first animu. She's the whole reason I ever learned what anime was.
We're still best friends to this day.
Don't have a Chrno Crusade wall but this is also one of the first.
Only ever watched anime on Morning cartoon shows before then, didn't know it was anime then.
Was shit, but still hook me up at anime and manga.
above was 3
this is 4/?
