10/10. my favorite Castlevania game. love everything about it. and the whip mechanics are just so fucking fun, it's really amazing what you can do with the whip once you completely master using it.

I get where the hardware purists are coming when it comes to consoles, but I don't know why you'd bother to build a TV-hookup clone for handhelds when you can just emulate on a PC unless you have a wholly irrational obsession with legitimate physical media but not the rest of the hardware chain.

Now that a new era of N64 emulation is only moments away, I could finally see myself doing a dedicated x86 machine with zero purpose other than:
>Upon boot, launch the emulation front-end (with my own GUI)

>Everything works
>Super simple form factor, maybe a cube of American walnut or Mahogany with a single led and a power button
>ROM catalog contains all versions of all known good dumps and informs me if hacks are available
>Catal updatable from my main machine through ethernet
>Upon closing, update cores

Depends on your situation. If you have the means to play it on SNES then do so, if you have a gameboy with a back lit screen then play it that way, if you can deal with the load times of the PS1 edition then play it that way.

Screen is probably all kinds of fucked up. My pvm was from a TV station, it has 16:9 crop bars burnt in forever.

Invent some incident which requires you to review security camera footage then talk them into "upgrading" their monitor to an LCD.

Check if you can turn it on or check how many hours it has. If it was used as a security monitor there's a decent chance it has some severe burn in. If not, make them an offer.

Hello, anon. I like those two things as well. Unfortunately, when I get drunk, I get horrible at games. Back when I used to smoke fucktons of weed, on the other hand, it was bonghits and Astrosmash for hours and hours.

I like them all :3 except for amigavania, that one is truly a horror.

get him with the pipe, kick him in his balls, punch him 100 TIMES, and then when your laser is fully charged set your phasers to DIE

as a child i hated these sections. they were poorly done and often frustrating. my advice is just keep playing until you beat it. you'll get a technique.
