Sure, why not?
Buy 3.

there's a firmware upgrade that'll allow it to connect as a wiimote
but otherwise I think it'll just act like a wiiu pro controller
so it's either a wiimote or a wiiu controller but never a wii pro controller

Hey /vr/, have any of you seen a black car around here?

Damn, the game itself isn't a waste of time, but it sure does waste your time a lot. And I actually played it for a while.
I have searched AliExpress and GearBest for the fabled cheap, quick and dirty Chinese everdrive but they seem extinct. Anyone know why I'm not finding any?
Search for "jack diy"
I just get a crap load of female composite jacks, no carts...
I'm gonna hijack this thread just to say wikipedia's video game genres are the most fucked thing I've ever seen.
>How do I classify Combat School?
>hmm, wikipedia says it's a "Track and Field" game, I need more info
>look at the wikipedia page of Video Game Genres
>"Track and Field" isn't listed as a fucking genre
What the fuck wikipedia? Why bother giving games a genre classification if you are going to pretend it doesn't exist?
>get to the final disc of a multi-disc game
>you are now no longer allowed to visit certain towns/areas/dungeons because reasons
In case of FFIX it's because the ending cinematic takes most of the last disc.

That was FF8 not FF9.

Guy who never played 9 detected.
What's the best bomberman game and what are other slow paced but challenging games?
Saturn Bomberman.
>>3486543
>What's the best bomberman game
Saturn > '94/Mega > Super 3 > the rest
>other slow paced but challenging games?
Pepen ga Pengo.
Lode Runner
Let's be honest: Jaleco wasn't a very notable developer but their games had at last one or two interesting concepts.
Pic related is from a unreleased (but complete) shmup called Chimera Beast. Here, you control some kind of alien monster - a Eater - that absorbs characteristics (eyes, tail, etc.) from any creature eaten. You start as a tiny microbe and end as a gigantic lovecraftian menace:

This is one isn't bad, nice Megaman-esque game

>"Woah look at that cool cover! This game is going to be amazing!"

>unreleased
Well, it was released in like 2 arcades, but it didn't go so well so it wasn't more widely distributed. Distribution of arcade games worked quite different from console games.
Thoughts on The Great Giana Sisters?
The reboot was a frustrating mess.

This.
Original C64 game is OK, I really enjoyed the DS game, and the reboot was just awful.
Top row looks like Garbage Pail kids, I like that.
Second row looks like they're from some TV commercial for kids from the early 00s.
Bottom row looks like they're from Tumblr.
Are games like the original deus ex and max Payne actually retro?
nop3
>>3486446
agree
I personally find there to be a pretty distinct line between games made for 98 and games made for XP but the rule for PC games is hard relase date unless there's a port on a retro console oddly enough.
Are there any /vr/ games that feature Sumerian/Babylonian (aka best old civilization) themes?
Shin Megami Tensei has sumerian deities.

I thought this was fun, great PCE game.
This looks kind of interesting. Is it still fun or too dated to be enjoyable?

What is this a realm for ANTS
>>3486242
Recently finished the trilogy with the same party throught out the games
It is completely playable, but make sure to read the manual
the first game has a lot of missable stuff and points of no return, so look for a spoiler free guide. there's also the possibility you'll never find one of the last items needed to finish the game
the second one has an event based on a timer that the game does not metion and you cannot finish the game without completing it
the third one is really easy if you import a party from the last games
overall the first and second games have a really good simulationist feeling that few crpgs can emulate... ffs you have to buy new boots on the second game since they get damaged during travels, not to mention water food and something like 15 kinds of diseases
>too dated to be enjoyable?
For /vr/?
What are some retro games with sludge metal soundtracks?
>>3486183
I dont know what that is but it sounds like literal shit. Any examples?
>>3486185
Kind of like the intro song for Red Alert.
or: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QIKw5BLnr2w
>>3486191
Melvins are the best
I don't think I can recall any game, retro or not, as ever having a sludge sountrack though.
Where were you when you realized Super Sparkster is actually the better game over Rocket Knight Adventure?
No it isn't, but it's better than the weird Mega Sparkster.
>>3486193
>No it isn't
Or is it?

BUT WHAT GAVE IT THAT RETRO FEEL NOW THAT THE DUST HAS SETTLED?
PROTIP: YOU CAN'T
Doing a play through of pic related for the first time ever and absolutely falling in love. The graphics, the characters, the gameplay, the music... I'm enjoying everything about this game.
Are there any other SNES RPGs that are this good? Is the sequel Chrono Cross good as well?
I guess general SNES/RPG/Chrono series thread.
Lol that game sucks
>>3486127
>Are there any other SNES RPGs that are this good?
No.
Yes but you wont like them
