Who has or can get a good quality screenshot of the old Snes9x screen?
Literally this file is the only thing left of it on the whole internet.

If someone has an old enough PC, please download this emulator and take a screenshot of the background, please.
For some reason, when I emulate it with DOSBox, whenever I close the Options windows the emulator freezes (but the cursor is still "alive")

I'm using a Wii for my retro gaming needs on a CRT and am quite impressed. It runs cps1 and cps2 very well and I was wondering how well it does with NEO GEO. Is it full speed? How's compatability?
FBA works p. good
I bought a Neo Geo X the day it came out and don't have the heart to throw it away.
>>3586656
Some games work, others don't.
It's also technically possible to inject new games into the VC games they released, but it doesn't help too much.
The biggest issue is that the Wii just doesn't have nearly enough memory to handle the massive size of many Neo Geo games.
What does /vr/ think of Fatal Labyrinth?
It's shit
it's pretty nice
It's comfy.

what's the best all purpose candy cabinet for any kind of hardware pre-2005ish
need something with an easily rotated monitor, trisync, big screen
something where I can easily flip the screen and switch between neogeo MVS, naomi, cps2, old pcbs, etc
does anyone have a blast city?
>>3591880
Naomi.
>>3591903
Is there some online store for those cabinets at all? Or where to get them?
>>3591916
group buys on arcade forums usually
Hey /vr/. I only have room for a small flatscreen tv in my apartment, so CRT is out of the question.
What is the best hardware for around a hundred bucks to play emulators on? Windows stick? Raspberry Pi? Android stick? I just want to play comfy snes games and maybe n64 or gamecube. Not sure if I should go for wired or bluetooth controllers.
>>3591342
$100
>SNES
well, okay
>N64
um, ah...
>Gamecube
HAHAHAHAHAHA
>>3591349
So, you're saying that dolphin is a no-go on a cheap windows stick? How does retroarch work on android with ps1, etc.?
Buy a Wii, mod it and use component output. It does all of that and should only cost you like 30 bucks at this point.
SL9821 is a newly-made PC-98 emulator.
http://www.satotomi.com/sl9821/
But you need a specific set of ROM files from a specific real PC98 to use it.
Any progress on procuring a set of those?
>>3591228
thats fucking dumb
>>3591287
but muh cuntpyrights, muh bios legality, muh morals
Speaking of PC-98 emulators, which one runs dim files?
What are the best retro Mecha games?
>>3591206
Super Robot Wars, Armored Core, Frame Gride, Omega Boost, Gundam Battle Assault 2, Tech Romancer, Armored Warriors.
Ranger X
>>3591206
Does that mecha have the same designer as Mironga? They look really similar.
I finally beat Dracula's Curse only to learn it has a hard mode.
Goddamn, beating all of my NES games is gonna take longer than I thought.

Anybody do a /vr/ costume for halloween this year?
I went to a party last night as the Space Harrier. The gun didn't work out so well (material and paint difficulties) but I think the concept is worth trying again in the future.
Halloween is too expensive tbqh. Dressing up as something simple like Pauline or HM!Claire could have been cheap though.

Oh loosen up and have some fun for one damn day of your life.
What was this hole there for? I never understood it
>>3590680
for hanging those japanese phone accessories or attaching a wrist strap
>>3590680
Lanyard.
Lanyard/wrist strap.
What was the purple arrow on SNES boxes
Why was it higher on some games and lower on others.... I don't think it correlated to anything, did it?
I have no idea, but they were on the cartridge labels too.
Westerners had a lot of trouble figuring out how to insert their cartridges; this was simply there to help.
>>3590507
americans aren't very smart, the arrow is there to help them to insert the cartridges correctly
japanese and european boxarts don't have that
ITT retro games to play for Halloween

I want to play this game again, I really do but I remember I could never beat the baby.
Your thoughts on Dungeon Master?
Still the best game in it's category.
>>3590409
What's so good about it? Never tried it before.
Why is it better than EotB?
I looked into Dungeon Master once and there are no character classes. What differences do the character shave?
>>3590432
there are, you just didn't look hard
I can't make up my mind. Bianca seems like the "natural", obvious choice... But Deborah is the hottest (and funniest), and Flora is arguably the best choice.
What did you pick /vr/? Did you regret your choice? Please try and avoid story spoilers, I'm far from done with the second gen.
I chose Deborah and she was really good as a wife, a mother and a mage-fighter
>>3589813
It doesn't really matter because they are not real.
It was painfully obvious the game was trying to guilt you into Bianca, but I held firm and chose the blueberry waifu instead. When you look beyond the characters themselves, the choice is whether you wanted a mage from Flora, a fighter from Deborah, or a sub-par mix of the two from Bianca.
