Just beat this for the first time, this is the genesis' LTTP imo.

This is now in my genesis top 10.
Any other games /vr/ are dead wrong about?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pn2fqVWESak
Here's some footage in case you're unfamiliar with TECHNO CLASH.
I am especially pleased with the cloud level
Have you played it?
>>3629361
I tried to like this game but found it way too difficult. Any beginning tips?
Absolutely love the fantasy / sci fi mix.
Is it really that bad
Even if it wasn't, it's a fucking eyesore.
I don't want to come off as a graphics whore but I do have my limits
>>3629145
its ok if you like basic bare bone RPG's, but you don't level up so fighting enemies doesn't reward you so you need to avoid fighting as much as possible and just find sweet loot that hopefully isn't cursed. your better off playing the first one on nintendo and even that one has its share of problems too.
Agree / Disagree and why?
Disagree.
Because it's not.
Disagree. It's a great game but not better than LttP.
LttP has:
-Better graphics
-Better weapon/items
-Better OST
-Better control
-Better story
-More interesting characters
-Memorable enemies

I like it better, there is just something so incredibly boring about ALTTP to me.
I'm looking to get into retro PC gaming. What should I pick up? I'm thinking about buying pic related, maybe a Commodore 64, or PC-88.
Also, what is the best way to play early shooters like Doom?
>PC88
I hope you're planning on studying moonrues. Unlike the MSX machines, the NEC series of PCs aren't swimming in import-friendly games & software. Hell, even good English documentation is tough to come by.
Maybe you should emulate some software before you blindly buy stuff.
>>3628856
>Also, what is the best way to play early shooters like Doom?
literally just use dosbox
seriously, it just fucking works
if you want get an old keyboard and a crt monitor and shit, but buying old hardware is just going to cause more frustration than it's worth
Post some shitty sprite artwork.First of all, it looks like he has a giant boner. otherwise, he's supposed to be hunched forward a bit with his knees bent, but how come only his right knee is bent while there's no protrusion of his left knee. take a look at his feet. doesn't make one iota of sense.
>>3628834
clearly, his legs are crossed, faggot
>>3628834
>First of all, it looks like he has a giant boner.
It's Disney, what do you expect?
This is ridiculous. Has anyone ever actually sold shit like this??
>>3628569
not retro, fuck off
>>3628574
Are you saying emulated Super Mario Bros is not retro?
Reminder that VGA is a scam because they have no real authority and charge $30+ to entomb games.

Let's build a shrine dedicated to shit games.bonus points if you play some of the games on this thread
>>3628251
Was Rascal really bad though? I cheated on it so I never got a proper experience on it.
>>3628251
>but first, we need to talk about parallel universes
>>3628012
you mean modular arithmetic?
go back to /v/
>You're now aware that he never said "BUT FIRST"
mandela effect
>>3628245
He says it at the beginning of the video, but not in reference to parallel universes
Didn't see a repair general up, so I'll just make thread.
The right trigger of my Saturn 3D pad isn't working anymore.
I know there is a magnet that can fall out of the trigger, but I glued it in and it's still in place.
I'll post pics as I go.
I feel like it's this that's causing trouble. Not exactly sure, though. I'm an amateur when it comes to circuitry and electronics. I do have experience with a soldering iron, though.
Do you think I may have broken one of the wires? I doesn't look like I did.
I even used a soldering iron to reheat the lead.
Here's the part that connects to the motherboard. None of these look broken off, but I don't know for sure.
Anyone else like this game?
Im not that good so i basically depend on my rivals dying to actually win the cup
My favorite part is falling off the track and dying
>>3627716
You won't last long in GX/AX.
>>3627725
I thought GX has less emphasis on killing your rivals.
X, on the master cup, is a fucking carnage. It's survival-racing.
>>3628059
OP here
Just beat all the cups on expert so i can play master difficulty now
Whats the trick to going fast do i gotta spam boosts?
Also i gotta double tap z or r to shift back and forth real quick amirite
I just changed the battery in my Link's Awakening cart, but it still won't save correctly.
It loads the game if I turn the system back on within 2 minutes, but if I don't the save is deleted. Is it fucked?
Did you make sure the battery is flipped on the correct side? With the negative facing outward? I made that mistake once.
>>3627661
It is on the right way.
>>3627658
is this your pic ?
Because the battery is on the wrong side
Just curious: What Sonic game do you guys think had the better special stage?
Honestly, the Sega Master System.
>>3627607
They all suck but Blue Sphere sucks the least because your partner can't fuck you over
>>3627607
My favorite were Sonic 2's but I never cared much for any of them tBh.
I never used to solely stick to one or two games, I was that guy who owned and played everything. But as I've grown older I guess I've just distilled my tastes down to the games I absolutely love after sifting through much of the rest. Rarely I'll try some new title, but soon enough I end up right back to playing Mario 2 JP, Balloon Fight, and Tetris.
What are your games that you always return to? Maybe you're even pretty good at them? I'd like to hear about it.
>>3627579
Tetris Attack
Super Mario Brothers 2 and 3
Super C
Donkey Kong Country (I can't help it)
NBA Jam TE
>>3627579
Same. The older I get the more I focus on just the highest quality games.
>What are your games that you always return to?
>IMMORTAL TIER
Fire Pro Wrestling (series)
Smash T.V.
>TIMELESS TIER
Street Fighter (series)
King of Fighters '98
WWF WrestleFest
NBA Jam
Contra (8-bit/16-bit gens)
>ONCE IN A WHILE TIER
any top tier shmup
any top tier pinball game (including Visual PinMAME)
Garou Mark of the Wolves
Real Bout Fatal Fury 2
Metal Slug (1, X, & 3)
Castlevania (8-bit/16-bit gens)
any top tier light gun shooter (especially on NES and Wii)
>>3627618
>any top tier light gun shooter (especially on NES and Wii)
That reminds me, I really miss Time Crisis 2 and the Point Blank series.
What is the best first video game console to come out from any company?
Nintendo
If you count the Color TV-Game series as Nintendo's first console, then the first PlayStation was the best one. It's not even close.
>>3627496
I agree
Though if someone argued it was the Atari 2600 or the Master System (specially the second one), it would be understandable, personally I find the MS library pretty good, meanwhile I have no love for the 2600 because I grew up with the 3rd gen.
Can anyone suggest some cute, lighthearted and/or colourful games to play like rainbow islands or bubble bobble? Preferably for NES/SNES. Looking for RPGs/Platformers mainly but suggest away if you have anything. Thanks :)
>>3627209
Wagyan Land.
Wacky Races.
>>3627209
The Kirby games on NES/SNES.
Fantasy Zone is a great side scrolling shooter that aside from being the wrong genre, fits your request. One of the few I can think of that lets you go either direction.
