ITT: non-retro vidya characters in retro vidya

Basically anytime a character (or character design) who debuted on a non-retro console who then made appearances on a retro console

I honestly can't think of any other examples, SNK vs. Capcom is a really unique case.
>>
>being autistic enough to take /vr/'s arbitrary cutoff point as a hard science for what is "retro" or not.
>misusing the term "retro" to begin with.
If you meant characters who debuted on a later console in a game for an earlier console, Yoshi was in quite a few NES games after Super Mario World and Peach's Castle from Super Mario 64 appears in Wrecking Crew '98. Also, Rockman & Forte had two bosses form Rockman 8.

And then there's Sonic on Master System and the Virtua Fighter 2 demake on Genesis.

>tfw 50Hz 2-chip SNES
Would it be cheaper to just buy a Super Famicom than to mod my SNES to make it acceptable?
7 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
I can understand how 50Hz would be considered inferior, but what the fuck is the big deal about 2-chip vs 1-chip?
>>
>>3703003
5-12% improvement in performance.

Come on, anon.
>>
>>3702952
If you lack a soldering iron and any knowledge of using one it might potentially be more sensible to just get a SFC. Otherwise, just mod it for 60hz and be happy to play video games.

The only one I have is Donkey Kong Country which my mom gave to me because she either confiscated it or found it on the playground at school. I can't remember which. She was a pre-kindergarden teacher at the time.

Hey /vr/, I have a Super Nintendo and I really want to buy Super Metroid for it and all my local retro game stores said that it's rare and expensive cartridge. Anybody know where I can buy this cartridge for less than $50?

Let's talk about internet cafes, back in the day Internet was expensive and a bit cumbersome, so people went to internet cafes to do their homework or play games like Quake and Unreal Tournament.

Do you have any interesting Internet Cafe experiences?

Mechwarrior 3 + Pirate's Moon

I wonder why the sound effects from the first SF2 and SF2T/SF2SCE (on Megadrive or Genesis) and the first Final Fight port on SNES sound so much better than later installments. Couldn't they just re-use them? I mean, it's capcom and they were known to follow the adage "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" adage even back in the day, weren't they?

if you spend the gold so you end up with 0 gold, the king will give you another 1500 gold?

i think the game thinks u never got the gold, since its kinda hard to buy items so you end up exactly $0
