What'd you score recently?
Pic related is from my trip to the used book store today. Tiger-Heli and Hollywood Squares were just a buck each, and I can rarely say no to dollar games, even junker titles.

>Tiger Heli for a single dollar

unreal. My dad loved that game man. Brings memories. Great top down classic

also, at a book store? didnt know they carried old game stuff. Never even crossed my mind to do so. was it a chain or something local?
>>
>>3740560
Nah it's just a single (albeit large) location. Used book stores tend to also buy/sell DVDs, CDs, and a lot of times game stuff too. You should definitely seek any out in your area.

Picking up an n64, 4 controllers, golden eye, Zelda OOT, NFL blitz, and 1080. All for $60, not the greatest deal but seems band average to me.

Reinstalling.

Seriously tho, Deus Ex while a great game it has some aspects that just play against it.
Namely the voice acting and the fact some people may not take the game too seriously with the sudden illuminati, greys and rat-like monsters.

I am interested in playing text heavy untranslated Japanese games on the NES, SMS, PC Engine, and Megadrive.

I have them plugged in with composite and cannot upgrade to a higher cable.

Is it possible to discern the strokes of different Kanji and be able to understand the dialog or will it be a smudged mess that only native born Japanese can comprehend by shape recognition from being immersed in that language their whole life?

Anyone know anything about this board? Is is better than pandora boards?

Other weird arcade board I have seen is "Heroes of the storm" https://www.aliexpress.com/item/645-in-1-Pandora-s-box-4-VGA-CGA-output-for-LCD-CRT-jamma-arcade-cabinet/32528988902.html which makes no sense what so ever but yeah.

Thinking about building a small arcade cab - either one of these boards or a rpi3.

Yes going full on PC is better for accuracy and what not but this is more for fun and size, cost, heat, power, etc make it less attractive.

Pick one game and list down what would have made it even better.

I pick Mario All Stars+World. It wouldn't even be anything already in the game. No fixes or anything even the infamous brick mistake. I never saw enough of a difference for me to care.

I'm talking about if it expanded it's library. If even more games got the all star treatment. Like Super Mario Land and the arcade Mario Bros exactly like how that GBA port was like on Advance 4. If all of that was bundled on one snes cartridge I'd be set. Would there even be enough space for something like that to happen?

If you're wondering if there's a point to making an aquisition, post here, and other anons will tell you the advantages/disadvantages.

Is it worth getting a Famicom Disk System when you already have an NES? The games are relatively expensive, and I've already got many of them in English for the NES.

>Another Disk System.
Use the catalog.

Anyways, the FCD has many games not on cartridge format and even the Disk versions of many games that were converted to NES have some substantial differences to them.
>>
Don't buy floppies.

Entertainment or collection purposes. Possibly some other niche reason. But that's basically it.

Okay guys I got one for ya. I bought this PVM about 6 months ago. Some butterfingers dropped the box in transit and the bezel broke as you can see here. It doesn't affect the picture, but It drives my OCD nuts.

What glue would you recommend to rebond this? Ive tried a few things, like superglue and plumbers epoxy but theyre either too brittle, take too long to cure, (i have to put a lot of pressure on the outside of the bezel to get the sides to fit together) or just fill the gap without holding the two pieces together.

Any advice?

>>
You are going to have to hold it together, no matter what epoxy you use. At this point, it will need to me cleaned, too - remove all the dried glue and epoxy so the plastic is able to be adhered to.
I suggest removing the housing. But be really careful...Lookup safety around CRTs when working with them.
>>
>>3761389
gotcha. what kind of glue do you think would hold up under the tension?
>>
>>3761392
Superglue. You need to learn how to clamp.

How the hell do you take apart Famicom games? NES games are easy to open, but I'm looking all over for screw holes on these things and can't find any.

Don't tell me I have to destroy/drill into parts of the cart or label to access the screws?
7 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
Use a nut cracker.
>>
No, there isn't an easy way to open them. Look on YouTube, there's a method involving a clamp, iirc. That being said, there's a decent chance that you'll break one of the little clip thingies anyway. If it does break, you can just glue the clip back together and close the cart up after that. Unless you really need to see the PCB for some reason, just leave it alone.

Is there any source of console boxes scans?
Not game boxes but CONSOLE. I want to make some replicas just to keep my colection beautiful and not have loose stuff around.
If not, if someone is interested in this, I could photoshop to adjust and get everything ready to eventually print it, but I need high quality photos.
