This torrent was made a couple of years ago on /vr/ however there are no seeds anymore. There are 4 peers sitting at 84.40% so if anyone has the completed torrent could you reseed and I'll keep seeding indefinitely?

It's a great torrent that took a lot of work and it'd be a shame to let it all die.

I'm kinda unsure...

>Eye Of The Beholder
>Terminator 2029
Those aren't even FPSes, and 2029 is a level of clunky that's repulsive if you're expecting any sort of FPS
>Hovertank 3D

>Corridor 7 + 8
>Ken's Labyrinth
>Nitemare 3D
>Operation Body Count
>Super Noah's Ark 3D
>Wolfenstein +
Those are seriously minimal, do they really need to get tangled together with those way fancier shooters?

I'm guessing it's the +'es that are add ons that make the torrent particularly interesting?

How dead is it exactly? Are many of the parts of it nevertheless completely there?

Eye of the Beholder is still in an FPS perspective. From the readme

>I tried not to get too carried away with RPG games, as this torrent was originally for only FPS games.

>This torrent does not include maze-walkers, light gun shooters/on the rails shooters, or full realtime three dimensional shooters like Quake and beyond. No disrespect for the games, but that just is not what this torrent is for.

and

>Key:
Pluses (+) indicate sequels/add ons of the games that are included (that I know of).

The majority of the games are fully seeded but a bunch aren't.

The idea of the torrent is preservation and trying to have a 'complete' archive of old school FPSs.
>>
>>3774167
Oh, okay. So the +'s are generally official add ons? And the torrent is still mostly intact, then it's not exactly dead? Then likely someone will come along with some of the missing titles anyway.

So let me get this straight, in order to fully experience the zelda games in their timeline i need to play them in the following order:
>skyward sword
>minish cap
>four swords
>ocarina of time, but die during the ganon boss fight, and quit the game after i die
>a link to the past
>oracle of seasons
>oracle of ages
>link's awakening
>original legend of zelda
>adventure of link
>then play ocarina of time again, but beat it
>majoras mask
>twilight princess
>four swords adventure
>then as a "meanwhile, in adult zelda's timeline in OoT...
>wind waker
>phantom hourglass
>spirit tracks
And so far people are theorizing that Breath of the Wild will be taking place after spirit tracks?

>>
>>3773923
You can play them however you want. They're all self contained except for a couple like OoT and MM. Playing them in release order is good.

The stupid timeline didn't even exist until Skyward Sword.
>>
>>3773923
I would play them in release order honestly.

I'd go pseudo-release order
>LoZ
>Adventure of Link
>Links Awakening
>A link to the past
>The Oracle Games
>Minish Cap
Then move onto 3D
>OoT
>MM
>Windwaker
>Twilight Princess
>Skyward Sword

Final 2 are by far the worst Zelda games ever made.

How were we supposed to find super secret tidbits like this in old video games? Falcom is notorious for this shit. In Legacy of the Wizard, Meyna has no clear path or guidance other than the song change. The only way to progress is to find the secret block that we have zero knowledge about. Other shit includes turning that one inn into a shop to buy the shield.

Sorcerian's the same, trying to find herbs in random locations. Its Legacy of the Wizard that bugs me the most... I know they do similar shit to sell guides and prolong the game, but this makes it nearly impossible. Why would they do such a thing?

Well that sorta makes sense I guess. Though my youth was more on the SNES/Genesis side of things where it was less about puzzles and more about action, like that fucking X Men Clone Wars game.

I would, but i want to record in 1080p.

Alright wtf is the deal with Game Genies on the SNES? It seems like I have to choose between shitty video output or using a game genie for infinite lives to be able to really enjoy shit. I use a 1chip SNES and a v2 game genie is supposed to let me use codes on the first and fifth lines, but they don't work at all. When I try it on another one of my SNES' it works fine but the video output is shitty. What is my best option for enabling at least one Game Genie code and having quality video output?

I have a 1 chip SNES and my Game Genie does the exact same thing. Maybe they just don't get along for whatever reason? Mine goes as far as ruining color pallets and such. Like just very clearly not working properly levels of video issues.

GAME OVER

Embarrassingly, I probably played Tekken 2 more than any other person in the world. I know so many tricks and glitches that are completely unknown on the Internet. I know a trick with Baek that probably no one else in the world knows. It's basically a block breaker that lets you get in a free 2,2 or a f,f+2 throw. If someone else knows it, then it's because I posted about it on tekkenzaibatsu or shoryuken like more than a decade ago and someone bothered to read it. I also posted it on /vr/ about 5 years ago.

Another trick he has is if the first two hits of 4,3,4,3,3, are blocked then the rest are unblockable. Similar to Bruce's 1,2,d+4,3 if 1,2 are blocked.

Baek (and pretty much everyone else) is still garbage compared to Bruce, Wang, Armor King, Kazuya, Devil, Heihachi though. Fucking Mishimas can get free twin pistons off of a counter hit JAB. What a broke ass game. Still, it holds a dear place in my heart.

Guys, I know you won't like that question, but I really need ya on reminding me title of game.
I remember it was strategy game either from late 90s or early 2000s, with unstandrad factions (still fantasy), and pre-rendered isometric graphics. Any game you can come up, and is not obvious thing.
Also I remember greenish tint but I might be wrong.
Also this game ran flawlessly on my Pentium 2 266MHz rig, so for sure it is not newer than 2004.
And it had some pre-rendered cutscenes, similar in style to that of HoMM 3.
Thanks guys, and there might be some reward for anyone who guesses right.

Reasons why quake sucks from people who say it sucks:
>browns and beige! And more browns and more beige and browns and beige!

Reasons why quake sucks
>Brown military base, brown castle
>MUCH easier than Doom, lol
>First boss is very easy and defeated by stepping on switches
>Poor monster variety
>At the time, it was graphically impressive but designed in a way that was unnecessarily favorable to Intel processors

Reasons why Quake is great:
>Co-op
>Netplay
>Cool powerups

It doesn't hold a candle to Quake II or Unreal for me, but those came later.

I always wanted to get ahold of a TurboFile. It's an external memory drive for the FC that a few games supported such as Downtown Nekketsu Monogatari. There was a version for the SFC as well
>>
>>3773143
>The Turbo File devices from ASCII Corporation are external storage devices for saving game positions on various Nintendo consoles. The devices have been sold only in Japan, and they are mainly supported by ASCII's own games.
So this thing was basically a way to get save states before SNES emulation? Not bad.

Don't forget the Barcode Boy, a similar system for the Game Boy. Had its own games instead of interfacing with a barcode battler. If you watch GCCX one of the seasons featured Barcode Battler as a B-segment.

Pic related is a Saturn floppy disk drive. Supported by like, 7 games? Including Panzer Dragoon Saga, interestingly. Just for save data backups mostly but I think it's neat as hell.

So, I've been hunting for a original model Famicom on eBay and I've been seeing these composite modded consoles being sold there, since the original Famicom only supports RF, I found this interesting.

Unfortunately, they only support regular composite cables and I haven't seen which
has the Nintendo Multi-AV Out let alone S-Video or RGB.

Now, my question is, are there any original model Famicom mods with the Nintendo Multi-AV Out and RGB support?

I am looking for one so I can use an SNES HD Retrovision component cable on an original Famicom.

>inb4 look for an NES, you weeb
I prefer the design on the Famicom and I can use an Everdrive anyways to play in English if I wanted to. Also, all NESes only support composite or RF without mods, and if I need mods, I can just go for a Famicom instead.

>inb4 go for the AV Famicom
The microphone is needed for the Japanese versions of games like Kid Icarus, Zelda I and Takeshi no Chousenjou. And the AV Famicom doesn't have the microphone on Player 2. Also, the appearance of the original Famicom is more classic.

Again, I need component cables for it to work on my CRT which only supports composite, S-Video and component..
8 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
Short answer is no.

As far as I know nobody has mass produced the Nintendo AV out meaning it'd have to get harvested from another console. Furthermore the Famicom doesn't naturally produce RGB, I am not qualified to explain exactly how its video works but the best you can get from it naturally is composite. There is a board that can be installed to produce RGB but it's not exactly authentic. This board was meant to be fitted in an NES and requires an adapter board and some awkward squeezing and cutting to fit in the much smaller Famicom so people generally go for the AV Famicom instead.

I'd just stick with a composite mod and get an RGB modded AV Famicom for non-microphone purposes.
>>
>>3772912
RGB =/= Component

You need a component encoder for the component cables to work. Installing just the multi out isn't enough. I've never heard of someone installing such a mod anyway. Just go RGB and use a SCART to Component converter to save some money.
>>
>>3772912
Any RGB mod that you stick a multi connector on will have well both. No idea if anyone has done it but if you do an RGB mod it's easy enough to use whatever connector you want.
