I've both collected and emulated since the beginning. I've never paid more for an old game than I was absolutely positive that it was worth to me, usually much much less. A big part of the joy of collecting is the hunt and the social element of trading but retro gaming has progressed past that being fun, sadly. When I make finds it's always either relatively common or very obscure stuff neither of which really come with any immediate "retro cred" and when I make trades I'm always more focused on finding something something they want in my collections I expect will diminish in value and getting something off of them I expect will hold value or appreciate and look better displayed. It's definitely not the same as it was and that results in me playing on Wii a lot. Currently into emulating retro computers with my vintage mechanical keyboard on my PVM-14 (my 20 is sitting unused down in my mancave)

Japs value system and mechanics more than westerns. And FFVI was shit at it, specially coming after FFV. The only thing FFVI has going for is the story and muh epicness. Westerners don't care as much about the system being broken and simple as long as they have a good ride story-wise.

Gotta be the cartridge. Just got this game. Tested out a ton of other games and they works fine. Strange. Everything else in the game looks fine, it's just the sprites.

battle.net games worked well enough on dialup if you had a decent enough connection. I played lots of quake 2, delta force 2, warcraft 3, and even counter strike source on dial up. By the time TF2 came out we had rural high speed though

how's the best way to play with others online nowadays?
I can't believe they patched diablo 2 to work to this day online but not this or WC3

I have got Game & Watch' Octupus soviet clone even before I knew about video games and I didn't find it fun at all. I had many "Brick Games" since and only worthwhile games on them apart from Tetris were Breakout clone and maybe a game where you shoot your way through wall of shit (it's kinda relaxing).
But is it really LCD game in the same sense if game field is pure 20х10 pixel grid?

Probably Giygas. Giygas is a nonphysical force of pure anguish and evil. No matter how many spawns of Lavos are made Giygas will simply engulf them all. Not to say Lavos isn't powerful in its own right but Giygas is beyond comprehension, a being like Lavos could destroy it with just its power alone.

Giygas is only defeated through the power of prayer, which Lavos cannot do.

I dunno, many mid and late N64 games are fantastic (Goemon, Paper Mario, Sin and punishment).

Also Beetle Adventure Racing which was made by the same devs of Pilotwings 64.

It was a C64 game about knights dueling, some kind of old fighting game really, but I remember there were some kind of cool conditions like ring outs or something, it's been so long though so I might be mistaken.
