If all the connections for either rows or columns are broken you could see that. It could also be a problem with the ULA. Either way you bought something sold as working and it doesn't work. If you up for fixing it ask the seller if he's willing to give you a partial refund if you open it up and work out what it's going to cost to fix. If not send the fucker back. You could spend more money fixing it than it's worth.

The membrane it's rotten and when it rots hairline cracks appear at the connector level and the entire keyboard stops working (at least my case it was). As soon as you try to pull out it will disintegrate, don't try to fix it cutting the ribbon, is not going to work.

Happened with my QL and my 48k, it's normal and probably it's going to happen to other sinclairs unless they have been properly stored as it's an age issue.

Ask for a partial refund and buy another one in sellmyretro.

Is this normal? The first time I wasn't able to complete the game I was using just regular WinQuake, now i'm using DarkPlaces. I don't even know what the fuck is going on anymore.

Don't bother. You're way too late to get anything good at a decent price. Just get flash carts and be done with it.

Flash carts are a great way to get what you want for cheap. If you want to collect the actual games the best way to go about it is focus on one system and buy some games for it. When you have a decent library, buy lots of games for that system, sell off your doubles to reduce the cost of other games in that lot. You don't need to resort to scummy reseller prices if you buy really cheap lots, sell them fairly. This past week I bought a lot of snes games solely for the purpose of obtaining super Mario RPG. I paid $200 and sold the rest to someone for $190 so I basically paid 10 bucks for it. If you're not willing to put in that kind of work it's gonna be really expensive, so be mindful of that. Pretty much every written review of this game.

You don't have to grind in the original version.

There are plenty of powerful usable items. Use them instead. You certainly don't use them in the endgame since you get a robot who will do all fights for you there.

Most likely. I do remember getting vol. 4 as a kid when we got a PS1, and at some point I bought vol. 1 and I think 5 from other people who got it with their consoles.

Always loved how those demo discs also had little tricks/secrets that unlocked even more demos or trailers.

No idea why they stopped giving out sampler discs. I think PS2 didn't have them. And modern consoles don't have demo discs, either.
