So, I have trouble remembering a ps1 game.
Basically, it was 3rd person rpg, something medival-fantasy like, I don't remember much, but I remember enemies being really overpowered in some areas and getting pwned on some ship with ghosts of sailors. It was in some icy cave too.
Can anyone tell me what's the name of the game by any chance?? Protagonist was a male, I remember wielding a sword too, and some forest like area in the beginning, you can basically access all areas couple of minutes after beginning.
I pull this guess out of my ass.

Final fantasy?
Are there any other retro games where you need to type in commands to control the game like Hugos house of horrors?
>>3850691
Hundreds. Go play Leisure Suit Larry.
King's Quest series
Police Quest series
Space Quest series
They were even common in Japan before the late 80s.
Can I get a quick rundown on the Turbografx 16?
I don't know much about it but it intrigues me. If I were to buy one, would it be worth the extra money to get the turbo duo? I love shmups and the only disc game I'm familiar with is Rondo of Blood
>>3850684
>controlls the 4th gen with an weak position but great games
>in psychic contact with 8 bit cpu
>nec bows to hudson
>doesn't really matter which version you get as long as it isn't the shuttle
>best shmups system (Saturn is 2nd)
>PC Engine bible has a decent list and view of the PC Engine games
It's essentially Hudson's entry into the console market. Unfortunately, third-party support wasn't very strong. But if you like Bomberman and shmups, then it might be a worthwhile investment.
TG16 also has some considerably good arcade ports, like Fantasy Zone. It's nowhere near the same quality as arcade ports for x68k, but still...

>the first designer babies will be pc engine babies
Is the story to this game an allegory of Japan's unwillingness to allow cultural marxism to set root in their country?
>>3850282
it's just about sending the white pigs back home
>>3850282
That would probably be the second SNES game than this one. This one could be seen more as a story about how fame and celebrity worship can damage a culture.
>>3850287
But also it's fucking Goemon, so I doubt any serious interpretations are intended.
Why is Mega Man 5 the best Mega Man game and the best 8-bit platformer ever made?
>>3850115
gr8 fr8 of b8, mah boy with a lippl8!
Shameless self chilling.
>Why is Mega Man 5 the best Mega Man game
It's not, but now it's actually good.

>tfw Mega Man 5 is my favorite out of the original 6
>tfw I'm the only one
>Look for a SFC on ebay
>buy it from a guy, free shipping
>he sends it, no problem
>10 days later he has another game
>It says free shipping on ebay
>i buy it
>he sends me a message
>"Sorry but i dont ship for free anymore to your country, please pay 10 dollars for tracking or cancel the order, thanks"
Is not fair, i didnt choose to live here. Why the world hates me? And american sellers ask me 30 bucks for each game just for shipping. Where im supposed to get games then?
>>3849985
idk what country you're in, but international shipping from the US is absurdly high these day
>>3849987
why, i dont understand. Why is so fucking expensive? many games are under 15 dollars. How im supposed to pay 30 dollars just for shipping? For gods sake, the thing is small as fuck.
>>3849985
tell ebay the seller tried to extort you, pretty sure that's against the TOS
I thought someone would make KOF(or other Neo Geo games after '94) soundfont someday, but what I ever saw was just metal slug 3 soundfont.
Seriously, is KOF soundfont is hard to make or have some specific reason to can't make it?
>>3849964
Well why haven't you done it then?
>>3850154
because it sounds like shit
>>3850160
well then there you go
So I've been trying to research how to get the .sav save states from my android's GENPLUSdroid genesis emulator to work in KEGA fusion, but I can't find anything on google or elsewhere.
Is there a way to load the save states from my GENPlusDroid emulator on KEGA Fusion, or am I out of luck?
pic related, I'm trying to get my Starflight on multiple formats for great pleasure
Savestates generally aren't transferable between emulators. If you have an actual game save you can usually transfer it over, but not a save state.
>>3849931
They if you be transferred if you do some hacking.
>>3849936
Unlikely. Save states have no "real world" counterpart like a game save, they're entirely implementation dependent by the emulator devs. They're not just a raw memory dump or anything (even if they were, there's no objective rules for how such a memory dump should be arranged), they also contain state for the emulator itself.
Why doesn't this game get more love?
>>3849676
Its too hard for normies who play on crap emulators
I dunno, it was awesome game. Dat soundtrack.

Mad Hatter boss fight was mindblowing for 7 year old me.
>>3849676
amazing game. animation and I think music done by japanese studio
a witch shits on dracula!
I know the name of the game is Dracula-kun, but isn't that Alucard?
That's a sexy little witch by the way. I wonder if that's one of the witches who later appear in SOTN.
cheeky witch
>>3849628
That's Dracula when he was little, though.

Post your retro website loves!
Of course many of us will have no choice but to use the old internet time machine. I have been a Castlevania fanatic for years. This website was one of the first I remember browsing back in the mid to late 90's on the subject of all things Castlevania. Glorious MIDI sound interface. The owner even had pages assembled for Quake 2 and Daggerfall.
When SOTN was released I hunted down all the information I could on Rondo I could. There was a website that sold unopened Turbo Duo's so I purchased one for almost $300 with shipping and a Rondo of Blood off eBay for 120 dollars. That is a fortune to the high school student making under six bucks an hour at a print shop but it was done. 17 years after that purchase and I still own them.
the only one i ever really used was RPGamer and they're still around
still has the giant midi archive too
>>3849585
Mine was some Mario site called Lemmy's Land. The last time I checked it was still up.
Old Man Murray.
What are your thoughts on Pong?
>>3849531
I'd rather play air hockey on a real table
>>3849531
Simplistic, but ok with a friend.
Honestly though, it's pretty impressive considering it was done entirely in TTL logic.
Tennis for Two is better.
So if I have to find a matching rom for the version of Kawacks I'm using, is there any good way to find what that is or say, a collection of neo geo roms that work for winKawacks 1.65?
Also, what games should I skip? I only really know to pass on Samurai Showdown 3.
>>3849479
neg geo games to skip, SS3, fight fever, Legend of Success Joe, SVC chaos, metal slut 1- 5
>>3849479
Dude, use FBA. It's the standard for NG emulation and has been for years. Runs pretty much any ROM you feed it, no hassle with versions. And it has libretro core.
>Also, what games should I skip? I only really know to pass on Samurai Showdown 3.
Any fighters before Fatal Fury 2. Korean games.
>>3850581
FBA is the one I had the most trouble with. Any links to an FBA rom set?
Any way to play the HotD games online on PC? Model 2 or NAOMI emulators with network play?
>light gun
>PC
wew, give up and get a dreamcast and a friend m8
>>3849410
I was going to play with a mouse. I have a Saturn lightgun, Wii and PSMove but I'm trying to play with a friend who lives a few hours away.
I know they were ported to Wii so maybe there's some way to do that with Dolhpin Idk
game and watch gallery 5 when
A complete Game & Watch collection on the Switch would be amazing, especially if every game included a modern version.
It might be difficult to re-release the licensed Game & Watch games that featured Mickey Mouse and Peanuts characters, though.
I was replaying some of these on my 3DS lately.
The Modern versions of those games have a polish and art style that I wish we could go back to. That late 90's, early 2000's Mario look was fantastic stuff.
