most of the xe games are 2600/5200 ports. But it has a few exclusives ones, but none of them i cartridge format i guess. I use multicarts to play on it.

Is it worth getting an Atari computer or XEGS? I want something I can plunk away in BASIC on, and maybe play a few games. I've always been a big 2600 and Atari in general fan, but I've been getting interested in the 8-but line.

I was always under the impression the opposite was true and that nearly all 5200 games were ports of A8 games, sometimes with added features.

Obviously yes. You get most of the best home versions of classic Atari games and the flash cart is pretty damn cheap - except you also have to have a programmer. I've been playing around with the idea of buying a lot of them and the programmer then offering them up for sale here pre-programmed at the same price as single blank carts on the site ($30-$35 IIRC). Do you think I could sell 4 of them on /vr/?

If I were him I'd have just removed the bonuses for both characters. Zero's buster is beyond worthless but making it better would make him too much better than X. And having the Falcon armor at the start of the game is just an excuse for the game to throw bullshit at you from the start.
Dark Dizzy's stage is a crime against platformers.

Also every boss is animated like something you'd find in the 'custom' section of the Spriter's Resource. Bad. The Devil is an absurdly stupid fight, one of X's unlockable armies is stupid broken and the other is stupid useless.
I dont want to go on but this game is almost as bad as X6. Instead of trying to fix it he should really just make a fan game.

Your best bet is an original fat PS3 for PS2 games.

And if you can't get an HDMI GameCube mod, your best bet is an original Wii with Wii2HDMI.

In my experience the Component to HDMI converters/scalers suck pure shit and introduce noise over the image. I've used one for GameCube and for Xbox, and I get this weird shit over the image that's really obvious on skies and white backgrounds.

Unless you've found a really good converter that's pretty robust that I can't find.

Really, what do you hope to garner from this? Having a bunch of anons type out random lists of games does not benefit your understanding of these platforms in any way whatsoever.

Why can't you pull up a search engine, find an online database that has some in-depth coverage about these platforms, and learn about these games for yourself? Do you actually plan to waste a substantial portion of your life downloading and demoing every random game that /vr/ can muster from the depths of its imagination?

If you don't want to play on real hardware because "too many connections", just emulate on an rPi or PC and put your carts away. Don't meddle with some sickly emulation using carts.

My wife's son loves it and it saved our relationship.
