What's the best version of pic related available?
Also discuss quality Disney license games I guess; I only played this for a bit in a demo kiosk back in the day, and I've always been curious about it.
PC version had the best graphics and soundtrack

I think both Genesis/PC and SNES versions are worth playing, they are different enough to stand on their own as distinct products.
Also the SNES is missing the boss music.
>>3897037
The SNES version is by far the best one and looks one generation above the Genesis version.
>>3897054
Not even close, it's based on the Genesis version and looks like shit compared to the SuperiorNES version.

Why has Blargg not made NTSC Filters for Playstation and Saturn? Saturn especially needs it since it uses heavy dithering.
Example: SotN on the Saturn lacks true transparances, so it uses dithering for menus.
>>3896563
That's not how SOTN's dialogue boxes looked when Iemulatedit.

who here has some games for any of these systems (or even ROM hacks) that they can recommend to me? im feeling open to new games lately...
what i have is only a small stack, all these files are just a placeholder image from a different drive.

Anyone want to play some Ephinea PSO today? I'll make a /vr/ room.
Don't have PSO, but you must be pretty damn lonely there by yourself so I'm bumping your thread for you.
>>3896559
Not too lonely. Doing a ton of work today and thought I'd try and set something up on the side.
>>3896531
Man, how I'd like to enjoy that game. You have no idea of how many times I tried.
My biggest issue is how grindy it is. Which makes it so that it's really hard to replay it.
I've seen the first areas so so many times that every time I try replaying it I get sick before making any decent progress. Which is a shame you know, we could make a nice /vr/ server full of decent (enough) people.
Anyone else blown away that god damn Starcraft still has a pro scene?
No, not really. Like Smash Bros Melee it's a very accessible game but also with a very high skill ceiling. Action is on a flat perspective so it's easier to watch and understand what's going on then say an FPS game (like Quake 3).
Finally the game was such a huge sensation there's a whole generation who have a fondness for Starcraft.
Why didn't Starcraft 2 replace it? Because Blizzard forgot normal players play RTS on a casual level. I never played Starcraft or Warcraft 3 thinking about "Build Orders" I only did what I naturally found was most effective. Most people played Starcraft on Gigantic Maps with lots of resources so no real need to build secondary bases, it was just fun to smash armies and see who could ultimately outwit the other player.
>e-sports
Into the trash it goes

God damn Street Fighter 2 still has a pro scene, dude
Let's be serious. Is Sonic Adventure a good game?
If your standards are really, really low.
>>3896414
oh no
good 1998 tech demo, but a kinda milquetoast game
Are there any newly made NES-controllers with turbo buttons that are good? The only ones I've been able to find are some Simba's famiclone controllers, and although they feel really good in the hand, they break after a while, and the color scheme isn't very appealing. Pic related is really good looking and might be better quality. Unfortunetly, I've only been able to find them on Taobao, where you need an agent to buy if you live outside China, and they are only available with the DB-9 plug which was never used on any official Famicom release and doesn't seem to have a standard pinout.
>>3896371
I think those famiclone controllers are the only ones made new for NES specifically. You could also try ordering an used hudson famicom controller or hori commander, both of which have turbo switches(altough you'd need an adapter because they're made for famicom periephral port, plus they actually cost money), or get one of those 8bitdo bluetooth adapters, since they map additional buttons for turbo(combine that with the 8bitdo NES30 or something, it isn't really the best
>>3896862
Meant to type it really isn't the best/most faithful style, but probably the best bet if you want to buy them new.
>>3896862
Sorry, but I need new controllers that aren't wireless meme.
Best action RPG
Hell yeah. It's really fun. Still going through Megaman legends 2 and I really like the snow town.
>RPG
It's more like a 3D Metroid.
>>3896286
They literally call it an RPG in the CM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ASDsdSVVaH8
Post here's your controllers, Bro - for respects
Oh shit it's true.
I'm not sure how to feel. They made a lot of jokes.
Why did Sega commercials always shit-talk other video game systems? They just came across as weird and insecure desu.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NCpGq6tJ-58
Because it worked.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ta0DlcxyY5M
>>3896000
Worked so well that they don't make systems anymore.
This weapon sucks. Why's it in the game.
>>3895930
the firemace wrecks shit dude
>>3895930
the powered up mode shoots those cool gigantic bouncing canon balls tho
powered version oneshots any non-boss
I know im missing consoles and i have some non-retro by this board standards stuff. But from the years range you can tell i care to play (from NES-Win95 onwards, stopping at mid 00s at most)
What am i missing? all i can think of is grim fandango. I could really use some pc recs
>>3895872

I've tried many searches. I used to have a DOS, possibly somewhere between 1992 and 1994 where you could create your own superheroes and put them into panels with word bubbles. Any ideas?
