I'm in the process of ordering some custom copies of the Sochi 2014 hack of Blades of Steel, and some copies of that recently released homebrew loli janken game for Gameboy.

Bought this thing recently, it's fucking great. Has actual chips instead of just globtops and the save feature works properly.

Born in 1993. I remember playing SNES and Sega Genesis when I really young. PS2 was the last game console I bought.

Hate me all you want, born in '99. First system was N64. Played loads of paper Mario. Probably spent most time in childhood on either GameCube games or Halo 3 by itself.

I was playing Mega Man Legends for the first time last night and thought it looked great. Also beat Kagero Deception II recently and all the different models for the people you kill looked cool and varied. Definitely not the ugliest console, that's for sure.

There is a way for the cart.. right when i posted that link I saw a few how-tos to fix 'pads' but it requires a kit thats about $20, or more. hoping for a cheaper solution, but it is what it is

You need the inputs that are on the back of your PVM. Probably RGB+S and mono audio. The best SCART switchers are expensive matrix ones.

Yeah, that cable looks fine plus you'll probably want a phono merger to be able to plug both audio channels into the mono jack (or a better sound system, the speakers in pvms are pretty poop). There are dirt cheap scart duplexers. Remember that retro consoles actually do turn off when you turn them off rather than going into standby and feeding interference into their lines. Scart is a blessing and a curse. It's so ubiquitous that plenty of low-quality accessories are available and its big-and-sloppy form factor often leads to crosstalk and outright shorts but on the other hand that same bigness also means almost all of them can be easily taken apart and fixed. As a general rule, you can sort of expect to get what you pay for but it sucks to wait for something to ship from overseas and then have to get a refund and try again. Someone in /crt/ can probably recommend a specific reasonably priced quality source. I used to like tinkering with stuff like that and getting a little of my blood on it but I don't have as much time to kill these days.

i think the oracle games' maps are pretty underrated

IKR thank God now they all have a massive proprietary amp guzzling internal one that heats up all those components and requires disassembly to replace once it burns out.

Would rather thave that than enormous power bricks or overheating internal power supplies that need loud ass fans.

Corded controllers. While I realize rechargeable Li-Ion batteries have less longevity, I appreciate that I'm no longer tethered to a set distance from my consoles. By the 6th gen, they were making long cords but still, the hassle it saves is great.

I have looked at digital press in the past, I'll just sign up.
I guess good as in just not total crap. Not looking for big rock candy mountain, but at least a place that has some knowledgeable users and a more relaxed, mature, and friendly environment. Maybe only a handful of turds.
