Can Yoshi eat dolphins in this version of World?
Nope.

is there a patch to fix this?
Do you like Castlevania?
Post your favorites.
IV is my favorite, followed closely by Castlevania 1 and III.
>>4063613
Toss-up between either Chronicles or Rondo.
Also, IV is shit.
>>4063628
Love these too, do you like Bloodlines?
>IV is shit.
Aw anon, it's not, but I value your opinions anyway.
X68k > III > Rondo > Bloodlines > I > X (SNES) > II > IV
Game is shit and only nostalgiafags think this game has good game play and mechanics

What did Wonder Boy fans think of the remake?
I love the new art style but personally I'm not a fan of the orchestra soundtrack. It's nice they got rid of the charmstone requirement too.
Where the hell can i find more information about Commodore VIC-20 games? Currently they're the biggest hole in my frontend/library because only 30 second vids around
What went wrong?
I remember having this game and honestly, in my eyes it had an inferior playstyle to HoMM as well as AoE, both of which grabbed my attention much more than this did. It did a poor job of explaining what buttons and options did, iirc. But that's just my experience and I was a dumb fucking kid, so who knows. What do you think yourself, anon?

Personally I liked the environment, the map editor allowed the use of triggers but they didn't work in single player for whatever dumb reason, only in multi-player that I never personally tried because I didn't know anyone to play TAK with.
I think the lack of triggers was one of the things that killed the creativity of the TAK userbase and caused the game to become boring, after completing all campaigns there wasn't anything left to do for me.
I don't remember much about the controls but I got through all campaigns with ease from what I remember. I was mostly a mouse user.
At the time I didn't know there was a sequel in the works, which was discontinued after the lead dev left for Dungeon Siege, or so I understand from what I read some time ago.
I would have loved to see the sequel with better graphics honestly.
What is the best political game (or Pac-man clone), and why is it "I'm Sorry?"
Obviously, Perestroika.
Bad Dudes

lol
Wow
You are now reminded of the Karnak hates everything show.
Arle is cute. Cute!
Just finished this and god damn what a great game. The attention to detail is incredible and it makes me feel like it was made in a time where publishers were not bearing down on overstuffed projects with rigid deadlines. Games are definitely not put together with this kind of craftsmanship these days.
Any others in the series I should try, or other recommendations on psx?
not retro, but give aria of sorrow and circle of the moon a try if you want more of the same
>>4062212
Really? Its just metroid with xp and random loot and zero balance
>This didn't get a sequel dealing with the Android/Cell sagas
Name a bigger crime in video gamesOther than no SNES CD version of Secret of Mana
>SSD was the first game I applied a translation patch for and like the 5th game I ever emulated
>Now I'm feeling nostalgic about discovering emulators and feeling nostalgic
Full circle.
Game was pretty fun tho, and really open for an anime adaptation. No other DBZ rpgs felt quite like it.
>>4062360
>No other DBZ rpgs felt quite like it.
Well, it was a remake of the first 2 Famicom RPGs.
Famicom had at least 2 other RPGs, DBZ III and Gaiden.
>>4062360
For more cool DB RPGs, check out Goku Gekitouden.
How can I play this on my psp?
Dicked around with it myself for a few days. No luck.
Any of you wizards have a solution?
Final burn alpha, mame nothing works
>>4061260
mame barely functions on the wii, I bet it runs like shit on psp.
Your best bet is just using a laptop or something.
>>4061283
Doh
What /vr/ games, in your opinion, have the most expansive, most detailed and most interactive "open" worlds?
The obvious candidates come from the Western RPG genre like Might and Magic VI, Daggerfall, Spiderweb Software's games and Fallout 2. While I would like to hear about the RPGs, what I am really interested in are games from other genres or games whose exact genre is difficult to pin down, like Midwinter, StarControl II or Shenmue.
Have you tried Herc's Adventures?
Ancient Greece is the coolest place ever to explore in open world.

i just bought an xrgb mini, i live in europa so i use a different plug than the one that came in the box. Does anyone know how i can convert it? also i think we use different voltage in europa than USA and japan
>>4060382
You mean power? Read what's on the power supply. Get the same one with EU plug. Or if the power supply supports 210~240 50hz as input, just get a travel adapter.
The one that comes with the XRGB is a switching power supply and can take european 240V.
Get an adaptor plug and you'll be fine.
Apart from that you can use any other one with the same specs.
5V and at least 2A. I'm using a PSP power cable for mine for instance.
Would you consider this a bad game?
I think it's a misunderstood game that isn't as conceptually sound or well executed as it could have been.
Thankfully there is a never talked about sequel that is actually AWESOME. Top Gun: Second Mission, though not the best "flight simcade" game on the NES (IMO that's Konami's Laser Attack, which feels more like Top Gun 3 despite being a "helicopter" game) improves considerably on the original. It also has really badass music and a not bad two player combat mode.
In fact, this was the game I had as a child, and didn't know it was Top Gun: Second Mission, I just knew it as Top Gun. So when I saw everybody complaining about it online when I grew up I was a little confused, because I liked Top Gun. Turns out I just liked the sequel.
If you can figure out the plane landing (spoilers:don't follow the shit ass instructions, it tells you what altitude and speed you need to be going so just match your speed and altitude to that) it's not so bad. The flying and shooting is pretty well done, although not as action packed and frantic as Second Mission or Laser Attack, so that leads to some occasional moments of just hanging around waiting for enemies or some shit. The targeting on enemies to launch missiles is also a pretty faithful translation of the dogfighting scenes in the movie (even though that isn't at all how dogfighting really works) so that feels cool too.
Is it the best game on the NES? No of course it isn't. But it doesn't deserve all the shit it gets from the "lol i cant land the plane" crowd and if you like this kind of NES seems-like-a-simulation-but-plays-like-arcade flight game, Top Gun is a decent choice. It's hell of a lot better than something like Airwolf (American OR Japanese version).

Hell, if it's good enough for James Rolfe's dad to play, it's good enough for me.
Speaking of free mcboot, what is the deal with the scph-9000x? I have a scph-90001 that just refuses to boot it. Is there any alternatives to loading imports/backups besides swap magic? Are there any swap magic alternatives?
>>4059407
i've been googling this for days, i was hoping to find some exp users
>>4059403
Try the thread already discussing this very subject.
You'll find your answers there.
is it trash? i want to record my retro games via component but i was also considering getting an elgato hd 60 s and using a component adapter
>>4059264
look at the logo on it you moron
I'm interested... tell me more about this product.
>>4059264
pexhdcap used to be the go to pci card when capturing rgb/component 240p signals. But they are super over priced now for some reason though.
