You were never able to save him
>>4117367
I heard he was a homo anyway.
>>4117367
They could have put him back together but we had to get some red asshole's parts instead.
>>4117367
Why didn't he just use a subtank and revive himself?
Checkmate aerithists.
what are some really fun ps1 games?
Crash 1-3
Spyro 1-3
Final Fantasy 7-9
Castlevania SotN
Ape Escape
Metal Gear Solid
>>4117240
Shadow Tower
The Ridge Racer series is fun to play through and shows the rate of graphic improvement over the system's lifespan. Ridge Racer compared to Type 4 is really cool.
Tekken 3 and the Bloody Roar series are the best 3-d fighters on the system
Warhawk and Einhander are great.
What is the best Zelda-like for the Megadrive?
My pick goes to pic related.
Crusader of Centy
Landstalker
This was kind of a short thread.
The Brickster did nothing wrong.
>>4116967
dont remember anything from this, only that I liked it for a while, lego had something

When your PC was a slow piece of shit and couldn't load the game properly:

Was it just my computer or did the racing game run at like 3 FPS for everyone?
I just got a saturn ready to play burned games, and a stack of 100 CD-Rs, what do I get? ANYTHING is fine, euro, weird jap, obscure non games, weird demos, anything

Digital Dance Mix Vol.1 Namie Amuro

Do you like Evangelion?
Which one is the best?
>>4116734
Both are the best.
PC version lets you select levels from a simple drop down menu, that's cool I guess.
If I recall correctly the PC game is a pre-Direct X game. No Direct Input, no Direct Draw, you play the entire thing in a fugly little Windows 95 window, I'm not even sure it can do fullscreen. Still, I only ever played the demo so I can't say for sure that the full game wasn't an improvement. But I would hazard to guess, based on this fuzzy memory. that the Windows version is utter shit easily making the Mega CD version the ultimate way to play EWJ.
>>4116734
Just go with the original Sega CD version. Not many of those ports of console platformers ports were really worth it
I don't remember having any trouble running it full screen >>4117107 or in a maximized window, but it does lack some background visual effects that SCD has, so there's that as well.
have you experienced issues emulating PS1 on the PSP? supposedly it should be spot on, but I came across massive slowdown while trying to play Silent Bomber and some slowdown in Vagrant Story in the fight with the dragon in the prologue.
Also I tried downloading Medievil 2 twice but one of the copies lost the music on the first boss fight and the other just crashed after you selecte a stage after that same boss fight.
>>4116006
Are you using Vagrant Story that Sony is selling? They have better QA than self converted stuff. http://renascene.com/ps1/info/171
Silent Bomber is also sold by Sony but only in Japan so maybe if you know how to read nip and hopefully it has less issues.

Dumps from Sony's CDN:

If you don't know how to use these, get https://sites.google.com/site/theleecherman/psnpkgdecryptor-extractor and drag the pkg on here and click extract. Just try these and look for the slowdown areas. If you need to use your own converted stuff, try playing with the compression settings (0, 1, max)

Emulation works fine on my PSP, although I did have some issues with Mortal Kombat Trilogy.
From what I hear, Silent Bomber only has framerate issues in the tutorial stage. The official JP PSN one runs better though.
Funny enough MML1 is broken on the official one but not the convert.
I can't escape those feels. The world is saved, the town is saved, even your friend who you thought to be dead is alive, yet I can't escape those feels.
Do you have games which made you feel like that, too?
>>4115696
I'm going way out on a limb here by saying this but I never wanted Chrono Trigger to end.
>>4116940
At least the ending(s) were good
Also I know it's not retro but KotoR 2 gave me these feels, partly because I liked it a lot but also because there just wasn't enough of it
>>4115696
>The world is saved, the town is saved, even your friend who you thought to be dead is alive,
don't worry they all got erased from existence
Is Rondo of Blood worth playing?
Most Ow Ber Ray Ted Castlekino.
>>4115551
It's my fave old school castlevania. It's worth playing to get the full story because it leads straight into symphony of the night. The original also has one of the most badass boss fights in the series.
Am I gonna have to emulate it? Isn't it for sega cd and turbografix? I don't have either of those.
>that feel when you know you are toast because the enemy you find has a strong colour like blue while so far you had only fought that enemy in a weaker color like green
>>4115430
you're still too early in the game, don't worry
Fuck the Cave of Wisdom
>>4115430
those troll faces!

What is the best version of Elite to emulate? Preferably good with controller. The NES port?
> Elite
> Controller
No.
If you're going for authenticity the original BBC version is probably best, as it has a much better frame rate than e.g. the otherwise good C64 version (and the NES).
If not then go for the Amiga version with proper filled 3D polygons and mouse interface.
>>4115294
There is a GBA homebrew port of Elite: The new Kind, which is basically a reverse engineered version of the original. It plays very well on actual hardware and I spend countless hours playing it (E L I T E), so I guess it should be fine to play with a controller. Resolution might be an issue if you're emulating, though.
TI-99 thread? TI-99 thread.
I never see this beauty discussed here. Got one just recently and it's pretty amazing. Not a huge library but a pretty good selection of quality stuff. Moon Mine and Slymoids are my favorites so far.
>>4115143
That's TI-99/4A. What's a TI-99? Some calculator they never released?
>>4115203
>splitting those hairs
I bet you're the kind of person who gets upset when people call the NES and SNES "ness" and "sness" aren't you
I grew up with one of those. Great little machine- definitely famous for its Speech Synthesizer and it was easy as hell to upgrade- if you had the money.
Parsec, Munch Man, TI Invaders, and Atari's as well as Imagic's ports to the system were always above average. I used one of pic related to play games, but of course you needed an adapter- and to make sure the Caps Lock was off.
What's your favorite point and click adventure game /vr/
I really like pic related
>>4115126
Probably Grim Fandango and The Neverhood.
>>4115126
It's hard for me to choose between Kings Quest 6, Broken Sword or Monkey Island.
If it wasn't so buggy I'd go with Quest for Glory 4 every day of the week.
Day of the Tenatcle, by far. I also really like the Gabriel Knight games. And Technobabylon, but that's not /vr/.
Speaking of, I'm currently in the planning stages of my own point-and-click adventure game. Any tips on things to do and things to avoid?
Besides avoiding absolutely stupid, moon-logic puzzles, of course.
