I was just playing this game recently using daggerfallsetup... WHY CANT I MOVE DIAGONALLY? A few years back i remember being able to press w and a(or s) keys to go diagonal but now I can't for some reason. Help?
>Look at me, I appreciate OLD GAMES with OUTDATED systems unlike you babies.
Holy shit dude.
>>3109504
lol what I thought this was /vr/??
>>3109504
you're on the wrong board babby
Ready to bet that nobody here managed to beat this pain in the ass.
I did. Not the PC version, like your picture, though.
>>3109294
Never beated it, just cried . That music though
>>3109427
I've currently collected 82% of the game's electoons. It's surely a more painful task that in Origins.
Anyone else just playing up to certain sections of this game then restart to play it from the start afterwards?
I don't know about Tomb Raider but that's how I play most of my arcade games.
I don't hate Xen like some people, but when I replay Half-Life 1 I usually stop after I reach the final lambda outpost. I don't even do the "defend the teleporter" bit.
Why aren't there any more games based on faith vs. logic theme?
Because there's no inherent conflict between logic and faith. Logic applies to everything for which we have evidence to consider and the unknown is necessarily a matter of faith.
Arcanum wasn't about faith vs logic. It was more about the dualistic nature of "progress".
Just finished REmake for the 4th time, which version of RE2 should I play?
I've never played it before.
>>3108876
ps1
>>3108876
PC or Dreamcast. Gamecube is also a good choice. Play on normal difficulty. Avoid N64 version.
>>3108876
PS1 version
Anyone care to guess when the remake often second will be here?
280 ZZZap is the first. Made by Bally-Midway, programmed by Jay Fenton. Jay Fenton later transitioned and took the name Jamie Fenton, so you may find the game credited under that name as well.
https://youtu.be/EPJBCOiVDrg
What other <5th gen games had them? The earlier the better.
>>3108793
It had some sweet promos
>>3108795
Datsun even made a ZZZap package for the irl car.
>>3108803
Fenton was a chill bro.
What the hell is this I'm reading about the Genesis having different revisions and some have horrible sound and some don't?
From what I could find, the best bet is a later revision Model 1?
earlier ones with "High Definition Graphics" written on them are the best ones
later revision Model 1 and earlier revision Model 2 are the worst due to Sega putting in sound filtering that didn't match installed quad amps (there are three different types of quad amps that can be found in these models - one of them doesn't fit well and it sounds HORRIBLE, one fits OK but sounds a bit muffled, and one fits pretty good with just a tiny bit of noise in the background)
later revision Model 2s are fine though, they fixed the problem by then
>>3108394
Okay, awesome.
I was worried it was complicated. I see now it just matters whether or not they have High Definition on them or not.
I was wondering how the fuck I was going to identify the proper Model 1 in a store or on an auction.
>>3108402
A good Model 2 is easy to identify too, and they are pretty much as good as a HDG Model 1.
Netplay retro games thread.
Post your Steam or Skype.
Steam: ZEAdaki Willing to play pretty much whatever as long as it's easy to set up.
>>3107882
dang, skype gets to be even worse than steam just for messaging
since no one broke its new procotol yet, you have to run the real skype program, and an old PC capable of running tons of retro shit can barely run skype heh
am i the only one still using ICQ connected in miranda-IM occupying 1MB RAM
at one point i had msn/gtalk/yim/icq on miranda, yim didnt catchon and msn and gtalk have migrated to other protocols and shit
is icqreally the alpha and omega of instant messaging?
>>3109726
>icq
middleschool feels.
Anyone interested in Mortal Kombat 2 netplay? I'm really shit at it, but it's the only multiplayer game I have that I can play competently.
I didn't see one in the catalog, you faggots. I thought I'd fix that.
So it's like Mario, only with a plumber
>>3106830
No. It's like Mario, but with a plumber.
>>3106853
And it's by Nintondo.
I mean the bloody PC version , not the PS1 version someone is baiting with.
Anyways, is there any mod to make the game run at 70 fps so the permanent "walking" speed won't feel so slow?
Yes, I know you can "jog", in town, in the expansion , but I hate installing an expansion that introduces major bugs.

>Lourdes Jackson
Damnit, a Hiro! Why you turn me into namefag and a girl?!?
Nice thread, not really.
Fucking retard autist.
>>3106620
>2016
>Still playing worst version of Diablo
>Still a consolefag.
Thanks Lorena. Go back kitchen now.
Can you identify these cartridges? I see Pitfall and MK
>>3106257
No because your picture sucks, just buy it fgt.
>>3106257
I wouldn't pay more than $20 for that lot. Then again, I haven't bought anything retro in years.
Bottom left is Mario is Missing
Do you like Wolfenstein 3D? If so, what's your favorite port or way to play it? I like to be as close to vanilla as possible, so I use the Wolf4SDL source port.
ZWolf is a fairly new port. It supports 1080p.
I play wolf4sdl on my pi its actually really fun to play with a controller.
>>3105469
Wolf 3D was pretty cool. But it hasn't aged very well at all. The levels all kind of blend together, nothing all too memorable outside of boss fights.
I'm thinking of going to nipland some day in the near future and I'm thinking of picking some games up.
Have retro game prices inflated as badly as they have in EU/US, or will I be able to get a famalamicom in good condition for 30 dollars?
>>3105315
Stuff is still cheap
Best idea is to buy systems that get grossly inflated over here.
PC-Engine, PC-Engine CD, AV Famicom, and other Japan exclusive things.
Why not just get an NES and a flashcart or one of the cheap multicarts on aliexpress?
Can anyone explain where the "PS1 has bad graphics" thing comes from?
This is the first level of the first Crash Bandicoot game, released in 1996. Notice how it looks better than any Nintendo 64, Sega Saturn, or PC game?
Wrong timing bro, right now /vr/ is having grand fest of 4th gen console warring.
5th gen console war is boring and this thread was made too many times already.
Crash Bandicoot sucks, literally the Poochie of video games. Enjoy your narrow corridors.
This board is shit.
I read from an anon on /vr/ that Crash was a bit like an FMV game, in that visibility and depth data for every frame was stored on the disk.
What does /vr/ think of the Everdrive?
I think (flash carts in general) are a good idea. Unless you're collecting or you really want that game, I don't really see a reason to pay the seller's inflated prices for an old cartridge with most likely a dead battery or corroded contacts.
>>3104059
Its so goddamn expensive. On the other hand, most of the games on Genesis/megadrive i have yet to play are out of my price range. I might just go for the MegaEverdrive and stop collecting for a while
>>3104598
$40 USD for the chinese version of the Genesis Everdrive on aliexpress. It even comes with an 8GB SD card that has like every game on it.
