I feel sorry for you man. First taste of Full Tilt Pinball was XP. Sad.
>>3304493
Not to mention that Space Cadet was the weakest table in Full Tilt. It's all about dat Skullduggery, nigga.
>>3304516
huh that does look cool. never knew, i just played space cadet.
by the way, why doesnt the 3ds have any pinball games. i feel like it would be perfect for it. shoulder buttons for flippers, touch screen to pull back the ball, and gyroscopic sensors for tilt.
fund it?
What are some good ZX Spectrum games that are still worth playing today?
I never really tried the system and whenever I talk to anybody about it, they always reference ports of games that we are undoubtedly better off playing in other systems.
So I'm wondering what exclusives are actually worth looking into today.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultimate_Play_the_Game
>>3304175
The greatest Castlevania game of all time is exclusive to the Speccy.
>>3304175
>So I'm wondering what exclusives
No such thing. All games came out for the Spectrum, Amstrad and C64 at the same time, and the ZX version was only the one to go when the rest of them were direct ports of it.
Do you think the retro "bubble" is a thing, or are the massively inflated prices of old games here to stay? If so, have the prices plateaued, or will we really someday see a future where an NES averages $500?
Is this going to affect non-/vr/ consoles at some point? Would it be wise to start stocking up now?

>Is this going to affect non-/vr/ consoles at some point? Would it be wise to start stocking up now?
Good luck playing DLC heavy games in the future, when discs go bad and their servers have been long offline.
>>3304116
Well, I'm thinking more GBA/PS2 era. Maybe some PS3/360.
>>3304090
Probably not for a long while and it'll only collapse to like what we're payong about now. We've got thevretarded Jew collectors and shit. Baseball cards stamps and comic books both dealt with this shit already. A few things retained their value but most went to shit at some point... But it was a pretty long ride
ever experienced motion sickness in retro games???
Maybe once when playing NiGHTS.
>I was also very drunk though, so maybe it was that.
went to jail for 4 years and when I came out played 007 immediately but hurled after running around
Occassionally with fps games with a hard coded low FOV below 90. More eye strain than nausea tho
These games are so great.
>>3303036
>Fever
Get that trash outta here.
Puyo Puyo 2 is the real deal.
>>3303838
All of them are the real deal.
'cept for those Lion King and whatnot games, because they're rip-offs/reskins.
>>3303856
Nobody plays Sun or Fever rules because they're complete garbage.
Tsuu is the King.
Are you ready for brand new Amiga 1200 cases to be readily available once more, /vr/?
http://www.indieretronews.com/2016/06/new-amiga-1200-cases-exclusive-new-look.html
C64 welcome as well.
>>3301095
The new c64c cases in various colors have been made from the original molds.
This is to replace yellowed cases I take it?

Been a while since we had one of these.

>Do you like SS1, SS2, or Deus Ex the most out of the retro Spector cyberpunk trilogy?
I need to finish SS1, I like it so far though
Haven't played SS2
I've probably played Deus Ex at least 4 times by now.
>Are you looking forward to the upcoming SS1 remake and SS3?
SS1 remake could be good, I'm not sure. SS3 having Spector on it is a good sign, but you never know about big brand projects these days, I'm cautiously optimistic.
>What did you think of Enhanced Edition?
Not much of an opinion, really.
>Any mods/TC's you've enjoyed?
GMDX is fucking great for Deus Ex. I started a GMDX playthrough some time ago and need to get back on it.
>>3300325
Deus Ex>SS1>SS2
They're all amazing though
Not sure about the remake or SS3. I know I'm in a minority on this but I don't want SHODAN to return, she's had her shit pushed in twice now and is beginning to look like a moron. The metaphor she uses at the start of SS1 about citadel being her body, with the cameras being her eyes and the nodes being her brains is hilariously disturbing when you think about it and realize that the game is I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream but with the roles reversed.
Enhanced Edition is great and I'm happy more people get to play best Shock.
As for mods I know it's controversial on here but I liked The Nameless Mod. Yeah the writing is annoying but the levels are excellent, especially the mountain base towards the end. Deus Ex Nihilum is also great.Zodiac sucked
I'd really like to play some kind of space opera game where I can kind of get lost in a fictional universe with aliens and political intrigue. A big, complicated, deep game, preferably turn-based. PC preferred. I know Star Control and its sequels, but its combat is real-time.
Simulation levels of detail might be a bit much, but I do want some weight to the game. Basically, the more engrossing it is, and the more I can feel like I'm learning about a whole new fictional world, coming to love or hate NPCs and have views on fictional politics, and so on.
I don't know if anything like this exists, but given that it's likely to be somewhat of a "hardcore" game, I thought it was more likely to be /vr/ than /v/ material.
Thanks for anything you can recommend for me.waifuunrelated

Some day. Some day!
In the meantime, I'm finally trying my luck against the Jewel Beast's Pillars.
... and soon enough I gave up on trying to do it "legit" at a low ER and just synthed Overdrive+Chalice. It felt cheap. But after 2 hours of failure, well...
I know a lot of retro games kinda looked similar to this, but I'm talking specifically about games, mostly modern, that incorporated this point of view to the gameplay as well, or as a big part of the atmosphere.
This? Maybe Bonanza Bros?
Elevator Action Returns!
Why didn't you just let him win?
Letting him wins means losing.
It's either him or you.

Throw the guy a bone

wins doesn't even count in opponent's record, he will still display 1-99 so it's all pointless
Why was Joe rescuing red-headed ninjas wearing pink who were most likely 10 years old?
It'd feel kind of immoral to leave them behind.

Training exercise.
Forgive my interruption, could you tell me how to find hell?
You already found it, Buddy.
You're gonna burn, all right.

I started surfing the internet for information relating to games in the mid 90's. Many gaming websites have come and gone, with a few made years ago surpassing anything being made today.
http://www.wolfgangarchive.com/ Is a fantastic example. Battle backgrounds, sprite work, music, full photo strategies etc for the Lunar, Phantasy Star, Shining series and much more. You won't find this site anymore in a typical Google search for those games.
I also recall a great Castlevania website by kcscheldon years ago that had a great Daggerfall section as well.
How 'bout it /vr? What websites do you remember being incredible for our early game wants? If any are still around, feel free to share.

West Mansion is still up; I remember enjoying Robs fanfics when I was younger. Patient #6504 was enjoyable at least in my memory. Have we really come so far since Geocities?
