Scyther's the best of those, and it'd still struggle to get by Steel-types. Vivillon has the same problem while also needing to spend time boosting if it wants to do any real damage, among other issues. I can't see what Armaldo's niche would be in the absence of SR, since it's never been anything spectacular and has only suffered with the changing of the generations. Vespiquen and Articuno aren't going to be able to overcome the shittiness of their defensive type combinations just by taking SR off the table, and vanilla Charizard lacks the speed or power to compete with the terrifying power creep of Gen VI.
