Where's the best place to buy Pokemon plushies?
I got one at a recent convention and now I really want some more.

Online is your best bet. I think some places like Toys R Us are selling some of the Pokemon Center ones now, so it wouldn't hurt to check there too.

Is there a good site? Or should I just delve into Amazon and eBay?

The official Pokemon Center site is worth checking out at least. Though they have mainly the most marketed Pokemon. But yeah, Amazon and Ebay are your bet bet. Just beware of bootlegs which are usually fairly easy to spot.

I mostly use this. Usually updates a few times a month with new plushes. If a Pokemon Center releases something in Japan, expect it to show up here after a couple of months. Except for holiday plushes, which release a few weeks after released in Japan.

Pokevault ups the price a lot, but is sometimes the only place you can directly buy phased-out plush.
Cons plush are almost always bootlegs for the records.

Why live?
What happened to the weavile plush guy, didn't he say he'd post a thread in early November or something

Don't you dare summon that evil here, even with those trips.
Yahoo Japan via a deputy service is the best option, if you're commited to it.
Ebay can be good, but it will involve some stalking. Hobby_Japan store on ebay have most of the new pokecenter merch at a okay price. (was way better when he didn't included the shipping in the price of the plush... *sigh*)
AmiAmi can have some stuff at cheap price.

get rid of the ugly dingy ones
if you look up on facebook "tufty's japan pickups", it's a person who lives in japan who will order and send you the newest pokemon center releases. I ordered a sleeping mew and christmas pikachu (pic) they're both pretty cute. it wasn't too expensive and shipping didn't take too long.
not necessarily the "best" place, but if you want the ones that are only available in japan then it's a good option. she discounts for pre-orders now
ToysRus and Target sometimes carry Poke-Plush from the official Pokemon Center website, if you're unwilling to order them online for some reason. I saw a bin full of Mega Mewtwo the other day. They're expensive as fuck, though.
Does anyone have a suggestion for custom plushes? I really want a shiny version of a pokemon, but all of the standard retailers only have the regular pokemon.
