>I plan on quitting my job in January in order to help spend more time working on this project.
>See that all of these other FREE games are getting nintendo'd
>Better make one that you have to pay for
>people actually gave money to this
>Another fucking GEN 1 MMO
how are people not sick of it already? holy shit.
>Isn't actually based on it
>titled Pokemon Adventures
>not even based on the manga of the same name
>Our combat mirrors that of the anime
>most of the first 150 Pokemon
Pokémon 3D is an online 3D Pokémon game with blocky GSC graphics and a battle engine based on later Gens.
It's not good, but Pokémon MMOs can't ever be good so it might suit your lack of taste.
>start illegal kickstarter for enormously popular franchise knowing full well it will be shut down
>the fact that it will be shut down allows you to go crazy and propose a pie in the sky project that panders to the most popular unrealized hopes for the series which realistically would never get made
>make a barebones game, mostly focus on creating and animating enough environments and models to create a presentation video
>collect donations from fanbase
>get C&D letter
>heroically upload source code and pass the torch to Swedish retards who'll finish the project on their own dime
>make off with the shekels
>Funding for this project was canceled by the project creator 1 minute ago.
>Funding for this project was canceled by the project creator 13 minutes ago
Aren't people entitled to sweat on their brows?
>Creator account deleted
>$400 to make MMO
This is fucking hilarious.
>If Nintendo does send us a cease and desist letter I will comply by shutting down everything that I have in regards to the game. However, if that does happen I plan on releasing the project files and source code. At that point everyone will have access to it, and another team can pick up where I left off if they like.
So he ADMITS that if he gets a C&D he'll release the source code for the specific purpose of having someone else complete the game? He just set himself up for a textbook case of contributory infringement right there. He'd be liable even if someone else completed the game.
