I was like this for the longest time, now i always drop my starter as soon as i find a suitable replacement. Stopped using a FWG core too, and i end up with far more interesting teams (albeit not as balanced but in-game is generally quite easy anyway)

Made this a while ago, not the teams I actually used in my first playthrough (except the Hoenn team, that's taken directly from my ORAS playthrough) but just ones picked from each Gen. I can't remember my full team in BW2 but I know I tried taking one Pokémon from each Gen plus my starter, and I had Krookodile and Lucario

OP you need to make the boxes a little bigger so it's easier to copypaste into them.

I really liked >>24588012 so I made my own. Not proud of that firered run but its what I got. Also I used my alpha sapphire run instead of any of my sapphire or emerald runs and I might have liked those teams better. I think that heartgold team is the one from from my first run but I've played it so many times the teams start to blend together.

Gen 1+2 my sick strategy was Starter+Sleep spammer. Took me forever to evolve Metapod because I didn't know how to switch positions in my party without PC shenanigans.

Was surprised at how much I like Typhlosion, made this Grass boy into a Fire fan. Ledian was awful and so was I but I kept her around because I don't know why. Still somehow a favorite.

Cut/Slash/Shadow Ball/Hyper Beam Ninjask named JETSTREAM was my team leader. We fucked shit up, took out the E4 every morning before school.

Gen 4 I was finally smart enough to use some cool ass Pokemon I always wanted, like Gengar. Realized I love Poison type. Skuntank's Fireblast was the clutchest thing in nofiretypesland, and skunks were my favorite animal.
Platinum is where I feel I started to mature as a trainer. Didn't want people to know I was gay as a kid so I adopted edgelord taste, but at this point I started to cool down and use fun/silly things. Flareon/Togekiss/Tangrowth was my bro/sis core and they stomped shit. Funnest 1st playthrough I've ever had.

Gen 5 was a return to form for me, I even named myself "Blue". In this case Scolipede was my starterbro and Amoonguss was the sleepspammer. Loved how varied this team felt.
I named my Arcanine Grady after my girlfriend's dog. Grady died shortly after BW2's release, so having him with me felt extra important. Also my first time using Arcanine, an awesome Pokemon I'd been neglecting for fifteen years. Zoroark always Illusion'd Weezing

I traded for DUX in Blue, but didn't like the boosted exp thing. By XY I was over it, and wanted to use Farfetch'd finally. Quacklin' did not disappoint. Absolute bro, and easily my favorite part of XY. His model is perfect and he's just a fun little duck bro. Skuntank's return was glorious as well.
