Knowing that my Notched-Eared Pichu will have to spend its time in HG for all eternity is probably the saddest thing in any pokémon game. It's the sole reason I haven't replayed that game.

Luckily it won't be the same with Cosplay Pikachu because I never cared for it and I find the idea of dressing up pokémon stupid

I'm a fan of Orga on Pixiv, but there are very few people that draw good Pichu art. (Much less Notch-ear/Spiky-ear)

Pichu90 was promising for a while, since he seemed to improve a lot over short periods of time... But he plateaued before he got really good.

(Though, his work is better than 99% of DeviantArt's Pichu submissions.)

It's weird, because so few people seem to like the little thing. Game Freak used to pander to Pichu fans like crazy, but it seems like not many people really cared. Not like how they cared for Pokemon like Lucario or Greninja.

Pichu is actually what got me into Pokemon to begin with... I loved using it in Smash Bros. Melee, even if it was weak.

It was incredibly satisfying to be able to master a character that no one thought was good, and I chose to main it mostly because it was cute.

For example Pixiv had a Pichu event a little while ago, where a lot of different artists ended up drawing Pichu. Would an event be held for something on the way out?

Some of the art was really good, some of it strange... Some had hints of other things in them.

It was still nice to see so many styles at the same time though. Some artists who never do, can actually draw Pichu really well.
