ToTT: Greninja suspect test almost over. What will (would) you vote and why?
pic related, mfw greninja is die
fist

I'm psure 80% of voters will be voting for it to go. We've discussed the problems gren caused in OU in previous threads. I would be interested to hear non-bullshit arguments for it staying though. Please no "it's not viable in ubers", "this [insert obscure pokemon] checks it" or "it's incapable of sweeping teams from turn 1".
>>22405708
Newgrounds porn games? Damn you just opened some old wounds.
>>22405689
I'd ban greninja because it's stupidly broken and whenever it comes in for free you gain an instant advantage, bigger than from other broken things atm. I don't even get why they took so long with that suspect.
>>22405708
>>22405713
There is like one argument that kinda makes sense, which is that competitive mons revolves alot more around checks rather than counters nowadays, which is true and considering that greninja does have a good couple of checks i can see where these people come from, especially since there are quite alot other things that barely have any counters in OU atm.
Anyone here playing ORAS BS?
Here's my team: http://pastebin.com/g88e8jvu
I'm having trouble with Volcarona and Breloom, but almost everything else seems to be covered. I'd like to try Altaria and Gengar, though
>>22405784
>>22405784
Looks open to being dumped on by cardio-bunny with the exception of bro.
I've also found t-wave to be a far better status move than toxic.
>>22405784
I don't really see how loom is a big problem with m-sableye around and volc is checked by zard. You could put like twave over toxic on slowbro to punish volc for setting up. Also twave seems alot more helpful in a speedy meta like battle spot.
>>22405689
I will be voting for a ban. Mega Metagross became pretty common on the suspect ladder, so I'd advise everyone to make sure they can take that on while teambuilding.
>>22405897
I don't get why grass knot is so low in usage on mmeta, sniping those waters can be really exploitable
Xerneas - #716 (Modest) : 26 - 27 / 18 - 19 / 31 / 31 / 31 / 30
This was on the first try. Is the hp and speed going to be an issue?
>>22405689
why isn't this just called smogonfag general
we've already got a vgc general
Is it bad that I'm voting to ban Greninja for all the wrong reasons? I do feel that it's broken in OU but my main reasons for wanting it gone are that I think it's ugly as sin and I'm mad at Gamefreak for playing favorites with it. By all means give it the stats Ability typing and ridiculous movepool, but I'm gonna do my best to get the fucker banned.
>>22405929
We also got players from smogon independent formats here (battlespot, PO, past gens, there was even a pokebattle discussion somewhat lately). Get over yourself, Verlis.
>>22405914
Megagross has a nice movepool. It's so versatile that dropping something for grass knot will leave you susceptible to a bigger threat. Unless you want to invest in special attack and draw from your speed/attack and not make use of tough claws, there's little point in running it.
4- SpA Tough Claws Metagross Grass Knot (80 BP) vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Swampert: 244-288 (60.3 - 71.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
>>22405928
Nah it shouldnt be.you could always get someone to powersave it if you need a change
>>22405959
Good player detected
>>22405929
>the only two types of competitive battling are VGC and Smogon
>>22406000
nice numbers anon
>>22406013
only very popular formats outside of Asia, being honest
>>22406006
There's no reason why I have to have a competitive-minded argument to ban or not ban. As long as I have reqs I can just write my generic paragraph about its brokenness while voting to ban for ulterior reasons, like aesthetics, or downright hatred for the pokemon in every conceivable way.
>>22406046
y-yeah good luck with those reqs kid...
>>22406058
I already have them scrub ;^)
>>22406076
sure you do anon. I want it gone anyway so I don't mind your autistic reasoning, as long as we vote majority.
>>22405914
>>22405990
Yeah, as this poster mentioned. Dropping Mash leaves you without reliable stab against the many pokemon that resist psychic, and not able to hit fairies really hard, no Zen Headbutt gives Rotom-W a free switch in to grab momentum with volt switch, no Hammer Arm gives Heatran and Ferro a free switch in to set up rocks. Really, the only option I'd consider dropping would be Ice Punch, because even though that leaves it with difficulty hitting Lando T, most of them are scarfed anyway.
>>22406259
Hammer arm is nice for bish and ferro's of the tier but ice punch hits lati@s as well as any genie switching in. I tend to run eq over hammer arm since it's great neutral coverage, hits tran and lots of other things without checking accuracy. Does allow ferro to wall but I don't normally leave my physical attackers to take on ferro.
Post your rank and a team for your best tier!
I'll start: Smogon Doubles - http://hastebin.com/zuvanurope.md

Grass Knot Meta serves as a pretty cool wallbreaker actually and the extra damage on slowbro is really helpful, since most people basically switch that thing every time. Of course you don't drop mash or headbutt for it, you drop one of your coverage moves. I like that set on the same team as some fighting type sweeper, because sniping (or forcing out repeatedly) Slowbro really helps breaking that.

Help with a mega Latias move set? I'm blocked
>>22406561
sub cm is popular, I don't know any exact spread though.
>>22406484
Can you please post that background picture? My Homu folder seems to be lacking these days...
>>22406529
Goodra - 7/10 in originality, shit in everything else
Metagross - 4.5/10
Mandibuzz - 3/10 what the fuck is this shit
Heatran - Pretty bad/10
Sableye - Standard
Tornadus-T - Meh/10
Pretty bad overall.
>>22406606
>>22406561
>>22406588
no it's not
healing wish/defog support with psyshock and draco is pretty common in the current meta. Probably timid, max speed, max spatk to compete with the current OU speed tier.
>>22406654
Are you sure you're talking about Mega-Latias there, bud?
>>22406654
why would you not use regular latias for this kid
>>22406664
>using mega latias...
>>22406679
I never suggested it was good, but he asked for a moveset for it.
>>22406561
I've played and watched quite a few ORAS OU battles so far and haven't actually seen a single mega latias. I would just run normal latias and use an alternate mega.
>>22406484
here is like a somewhat recent screen of me topping the epic po ladder in gsc, i've done that more often with probably more epic ratings, w/e

cool offensive explosion/machamp centered stallbreaker team, fairly easy to start gsc with that
