TL;DR: The fakemon in question is a Lengendary mon based on an Aboriginal god of totemism and what not. The original design that was proposed was not so good, but the Komodo dragon one might work.

So, if you don't mind I'll be requesting you peeps to either do that or come up with your own interpretation. Go nuts.

Alright, so if it's the antithesis of the rainbow serpent, I'd probably want to use chromatic grays, if not only black and white for its color scheme.

As for the actual design, I'll probably go with making it look like an ancient kind of dragon. Lots of wrinkles, very few continuous forms. Spikes maybe? Hmmm... How far does their duality go exactly?

As a matter of lore, very far. While the rainbow snake is a primal force that both creates and destroys, it's some sort of first monster born from nothingness from where everything comes, while Dirawong is simply a Demiurge. It doesn't create, it doesn't destroy, it simply gives form. One brings change, the other stability.

However, they are not supposed to be outright enemies. If Dirawong fights the snake its only to protect the things that he has given form to (which just so happens to include human civilization). Otherwise, it leaves it to its own business and they even collaborated at times to create at least several parts of the world.

So yeah, they are ideologically extremely opposed entities but they are mostly neutral to eachother. It is an interesting dynamic if you ask me, seeing how dualities like these end in confrontations most of the time.

As a matter of powers, their domains are complimentary. the rainbow snake is a creature of nature and has control over life and death, while the Dirawong has a hold on the realm of the spirit and knowledge.

Appearance-wise they are both represented as lizards, one being a Snake and the other a goanna / Komodo dragon.

Whatever you go with, could you like try to add design references to Xatu and Sigilyph?, It'd be nice if you made it have this mystic, esoteric look a totemistic deity should have.

A simple change and she does look a little better

Her umbrella is at a wrong angle. it's above the horizon line, so even if she tips it forward like that, it should be looking more upwards.
She's not gripping the handle properly. If you grab something like that, the object is flush to you palm. Also, her upper arm is too long, her hand should be where the bend in the umbrella is.
You shouldn't be able to see her right asscheek. I know anime artists love doing that, but it requires the pelvis to be bent at an extreme angle.
The right leg looks wonky in general. The line between thigh and calf doesn't work, her calf can't have that bend because there's a straight bone there. Additionally, if you're looking at it from the side, it should be longer.
Her bun isn't properly aligned. It should be a bit more lower, a bit more back, and should be facing more to the right an looking a little more upwards.
Deerlings left back leg recedes too far into its belly. The legs on practically all quadrupedal animals are positioned above the torso, so to they should be more outwards.
Also, its right back leg shoul be slightly more southwest and facing forward.
I think that's all the advice I have regarding anatomy.

I was thinking about using a marble for the eyes, but cat's eye marbles, the most common ones, are used for megastones already, so I'll probably just give its eyes a bit of a glow to them or something.
