Yes, Crygonal is pretty easy to remember. Now something like Finneon or Gorebyss, those are forgetful, or some of the names of the newer Pokemon/Legendaries because half of them are event only that you ever only see once and the fact that I just nickname my Pokemon anymore so I barely remember half their names, but I remember what they look like at least.
Gorebyss, Huntail, Clamperl, Finneon, Lumineon, etc. There are a bunch of random ass water pokemon nobody ever mentions.

I really don't get the hate on the clamperl evo line. It has always been really special to me. The fact that few trainers are using them ingame made it only cooler to me, and I never "forgot" about them.
Lumineon was cool as well, despite being weak as fuck. It was actually my water team member on my first gen 4 playtrough.

What do you guys think about overcomplicated pokemon designs? I've always felt that the newer designs, (the legendaries in particular,) are way too complicated to the point where they look more likenewmons than pokemon. Ive always felt that the idea of "pocket monsters" is more akin to the Gen 1 and 2 pokemon than any of the newer ones. Does /v/ think that pokemon should start going back to less complicated designs?
I'm not a genwunner, I just like the designs better from the early days

Do scissors just not exist in the Pokemon world because Cut? This really makes no sense
I don't see any way on how to replace Surf, but Fly would be amazing if you could use any Pokemon and not just Mega Free Legendary and worked like soaring, except giving you the option between instantaneous fly or soaring
But Game Freak doesn't know what fun is

When you heal Pokemon at a Pokemon center, all hp and pp is restored. If you go to a nurse or other NPC that heals Pokemon, the screen fades as if time is passing.
So what exactly are these people doing to the Pokemon? Just giving them full restores and elixirs?

Probably. Pokemon are the only thing in the Pokemon world equivalent of America to have free health care, so it must be insanely easy to revitalize them when they are down
If you can create a medicine that instantly brings a creature to full potential, it's fully possible that the same is used as a rest point in each city/town to gather trainers and let them rest
The reason potions, etc. are still being sold is probably to keep the economy from not crashing due to how everything's free
Now the biggest mystery: How sleeping in a bed suddenly allows for the exact same health restoration as a nurse

How to progress in PTCGO, tl;dr edition:
>complete all Trainer Challenges (Cheat Engine's speedhack strongly recommended to speed up AI games)
>play through using Basic decks to unlock them for versus play
>farm Versus Mode theme ladder for Tokens and Tournament Tickets
>Enter Theme format tournaments whenever possible
>enter standard/expanded ticket tournaments and accept that you'll lose
>you'll get tradable tournament chests and sometimes tradable packs
>DON'T OPEN THEM
>Instead, trade them for the cards you actually want for a deck you want to build, most cards go for like 1-3 packs each.
>Public trade is like the GTS, if you want proper results, put up your own offers.

How's everyone's ladder coming along? Are you gonna get that FA N?
I'm hoping to complete it a day or two early and take a much needed break from the game.
Playing through Pokemon Red, I fought this trainer and right after the fight my Pikachu evolved. He didn't even level up, no thunderstone, nothing. Just after the battle, "Pikachu is evolving" and I just watched in awe. I'll note I haven't done the Mew glitch or anything like that. Has anyone else experienced anything like this?
