I think they won't tone the Megas down but you will get more new 'mons.
Now that the Herculean task of creating 3D models for all existing Pokemon is done, they have more time to focus on new monsters. I think we'll get 100-120, at the least 80.

i mean when mega poekmon were introduced they had over 600 pokemon to look back at and say "hmmm... does this pokemon need a mega". while a couple of them still may get megas in the future, for the most part its good for now.

Still pissed off that Garchomp, Tyranitar, Mewtwo, and Rayquaza got Megas. At least Mewtwo's Megas have good designs.
Megas should be reserved only for Pokemon with low stats who need buffs, or starter Pokemon. Anything else is overkill fanservice. The day Charizard was revealed to have TWO Megas, was the day I lost a lot of respect for Game Freak.

Naming a PKM is easy! Just consider its rugged features such as the open-bolt design, gas-operated action in the modernized Kalashnikov pattern, quick-detach barrel lock to replace those heat-warped barrels quickly to maintain suppression fire for your unit, and fires the ever-popular 7.62x54mmR cartridge in service for over a century!
Just think about its long service history, over fifty years now, its rugged looks, and how its effective out to 1,500 meters. Even more, you might consider it for contests! Think about what kind of name you'd give your PKM when its sporting a laminated birch stock or the more modern glass-filled poly stock; it feeds from steel-linked belts in 100 round quantities or if you want to show its strength with a 200-500 round ammo box strapped to it; and so many sighting and barrel options!
Truly the world is your oyster when it comes to naming for PKMs.

Pikachu, lucario, charizard and blazekin are pokemon that lots of people love as they are mascotmons. Pikachu libre was voted in by south korea. Gengar was voted in by some other asian country. Gardevoir is a waifumon that lots of people love. Machamp is a perfect pick for a pokemon fighting game. Mewtwo was added as it is relevent to the story and is loved by many. Shadow mewtwo was added as every fighting game with a story has a bad guy you have to beat and can play as. The rest of the roster are good niche picks that most of you faggots seem happy with.
Stop complaining about the fucking roater, its a good roster and a good game.
