Well, if you don't use the exp share, don't grind and play in 'set' AND don't use megas... then yeah, the game can be more challenging. Mostly because you'll be underleveled towards the end.

No. You're older, smarter, and more experienced with the series than last time you played. Each time you play, that effect increases. If each successive game wasn't easier for you, there'd be something wrong with you.
