That's just so perfect
I understand a big part of 4chans "culture" is people trying to upset each other by posting opinions that they know will get a response from people who care about the subjects or the sake of comedy or genuinely trying to anger people through constant memes, but why does it matter if s&m are gen 6.5 or 7? Do they think that where gonna get a upgrade to graphics and new models? Do they just not want to return to kalos?
I feel like all that shit is trivial compared to the glaring problems with the omega ruby&alpha sapphire and x&y. I can't be alone when I say that the last two games where stupid easy and posed almost no challenge. Also they severely lack what I can only describe as "soul" to them. I think that the desaturated and pale colors of the Pokemon models and world have a lot to do with it, but x&ys other big offense is the tiny handful of new Pokemon it introduced. I'm not gonna bash on the designs of them because I really liked a small group of them (pryroar, goodra, and chestnuaght where good) but if they took time to introduce a normal amount of new ones then I'm sure I would have liked more. And finally I want to address something I know has been talked about to death, the lack of post game. In x&ys I honestly can't remember there being anything to do besides catching them all and the battle mansion. And for oras, the whole deoxes, rayquaza story really didn't seem like more than going in and out of the scientific facility and getting a earbeating from the brown girl and steven so that I can get the two legendarys.
What do you guys honestly think can save future games from doing the the same?
>>25815747
It's a children's game. They're not supposed to be difficult.
>>25815752
Black and white and black and white 2 posed a good challenge so did all of gen 4
>>25815747
I prefer 3rd versions over standard releases, simply put. With so many people claiming titles like Emerald and BW2 are the best Pokemon games of all time I'd thought more people shared my opinion. Apperentely I was wrong.

After finally having taken the courage of wading myself through ORAS's post-game. Can we discuss how outdated FRLG feel in comparison?
>>25815637
If anything, ORAS is a step back.
>>25815642
I spent about 20 minutes (with speed-toggle) trying to evolve my Pidgeotto from level 32 to level 36.
>>25815637
Yes, I can't bring myself to play anything before the phy/spc split anymore and it sucks ass.
Why is generation 4 so comfy?
>>25815566
Because "comfy" is a word used by apologists trying to find positives about a game with no redeeming features at all. It literally means "I have no reason to like this game, but I already paid for it, so please like it for me".
>>25815704
Why is generation 4 so aesthetically and musically pleasant?
There, fixed it for your autism
>>25815704
while i agree "comfy" is a shitty meme, elaborate overworld designs were definitely a highlight of sinnoh
Would an anime based off the games be good?
When I say "based off the games" I mean that literally. They reference stats (not the actual numbers but say things like 'For what Grumpig lacks in speed it makes up with special defense!'), STAB, status conditions matter, abilities etc.
An episode would feature battles where seemingly Pokemon with poor stats get the upperhand by setting up a trick room or using endeavor + quick attack. Think Pokemon meets Jojo's Bizarre Adventure where the trainer actually has to be clever to win battles, not just have Charizard spam seismic toss to defeat the opponent.
Or would this just become autism: the show?
>>25815508
It will flop and die while it rolls around in a pile of feces screaming at the top of it lungs.
While it could potentially be good, unlike the current one, it wouldn't appeal to all the kids that love the shitty anime.
Believe it or not, man childs like you are a very small portion of the audience that watches pokemon.

>When I say "based off the games" I mean that literally. They reference stats (not the actual numbers but say things like 'For what Grumpig lacks in speed it makes up with special defense!'), STAB, status conditions matter, abilities etc.
This is more akin to Origins.

This is what happens in the anime.
>Think Pokemon meets Jojo's Bizarre Adventure where the trainer actually has to be clever to win battles
If the trainers are going to talk/think during matches just as much as JoJo chars during fights the battles will pretty much have to be strictly turn based.
Which is good, mind you.

when and where are we expecting news next?
CoroCoro, 11th to 15th of April.
Go back to the basement and cry yourself to sleep until those days come.
>>25815258
CoroCoro promised in last months issue that they would start their featured coverage of Sun and Moon this month, so we are surely going to get some new info on the 15th. However scans of the issue can leak a week early so we can see the news around the 10th.

>>25815263
>thinking corocoro will actually reveal anything
>people actually expected anything from Pokenchi
>people are actually mad we got nothing despite constant damage control from those of us experienced with it telling them to expect nothing
>people are still complaining and blaming anyone they can: serebii, youtubers, pokenchi, masuda
Its all over r/Pokemon. Several "THATS IT?!" and "BUT WE WERE PROMISED!!!" threads popped up as soon as it was over.
You were told time and time again to expect nothing. You didnt listen. Its your own fault youre disappointed. Now fuck off back to what other site yoy came from because nobody from /vp/ who knows anything about hype season expected anything big last night.
>"I- I knew all along I swear I d- didn't get my hopes up or a- a- anyth- thing!"
>>25815224
I was replying to people the past few days telling them that history wasnt so good and to not expect anything worth seeing
Is ORAS currently the best platform to farm shinies on?
I've finally decided to take the plunge and try to get my hands on a pink bun
Would MM or Dexnav be faster?
MM works. I got a few shinies when breeding for competitive teams
>>25815159
MM gives you better stats and such anyway.
Just inject shinies
Why the fuck isn't the crab typing a thing yet?! We got ground and steel and rock, ghost and psychic and poison, dragon and fire, grass and bug, normal and fighting, but no crab to go with water.
Pokemon needs to be like Yugioh and have separate dragon/dinosaur/reptile types and separate aqua/fish/sea serpent types and that kind of thing.
Also it needs a frog type.
>>25815156
>crabposting is spreading from infinitychan
krabby, kingler, corfish, crawdaunt, surskit, kabuto, kabutops, dwebble, crustle, clauncher, clawitzer, paras, parasect, genesect, anorith, armaldo
to name a few pokemon that would fit under the crab typing
So I was watching some shiny reactions on Youtube. And I was wondering why does this guy have a level 999 dexnav level on all pokemon? Is there a feature that speeds up your dexnav levels? Or did he just cheat? Why does he on average find them in way less encounters if he encountered them 999 times already without a shiny just to encounter them on stream?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sn2pN-VuBPs
Also, any general shiny hunting team build tips appreciated.
Because he's a loser
>>25815134
You do realize that chaining has no effect on shiny rate with the dexnav?
>>25815149
That's not the point I was trying to make
If we got absolutely no new information about Sun/Moon other than the initial reveal trailer, would you still buy the game as soon as it hit the shelves?
>>25815091
Yes
I'll pirate it first.
>>25815091
Yes, I like spoilers but I would actually prefer this. It would be nice to go into a new game not knowing what to expect. i haven't done that since I was a kid around when Pokemon RSE came out. It would be nice to feel like a kid again.
What do you think the base stats of the average human would be? how about the base stats of a child? A professional athlete? What would YOUR base stats be?
I think the base stats of an average human would be something like this:
HP: 75
ATK: 70
DEF: 65
SPA: 1
SPD: 65
SPE: 45
BST: 321
What would be some of our abilities, moves, etc?
If we're assuming compared to the average Pokemon, everything in the single digits.
Also
>he didn't reclass to a special sweeper
>>25815064
You're saying a human can't hit harder than a Caterpie or a Sunkern? I don't buy it.
>>25815053
Average pokemon human:
HP: 255
DEF: 255
ATK: 10
SPA: 0
SPD: 255
SPE: 65
