Ah, the "mixing up pokemon generations on purpose" meme
Good one OP! Sure got me with this fresh one :^)

Skarmory is from Gen 2
So, now that owl is real, Owlfags win, and Roothootfags btfo, there's literally nothing that can stop the level of backpedaling that Denialfags are doing.
>Denialfags said it'd be an owl
>They actually said crow
>M-Muh Roothoot!
>Roothootfags ARE Owlfags, they're the same!
>Trademarks!
Seriously, stop. Owlfags aren't Roothootfags, you got btfo, and no amount of ignorance can save you. Just accept it and die, like the rest of your kind.
Rest of your kind:
>Roothootfags
>Kalosfags
>6.5fags
>Mexicofags
>Chinafags
>Zfags
>Poppliofags
Just die already.

Can you imagine someone visiting /vp/ for the first time and seeing this thread first. What on earth would they even think was happening.
That's nice, but let's discuss how absolutely and utterly wrong Zodiacfags are. Every argument they have made has been completely shredded, it is completely disproven now, I don't know why they still exist.
>>26422549
Zodiacfags are btfo too, but don't derail the thread! REEEEEEEE!!!!
From the immensely popular game franchise, Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are obviously attempting to replicate the success of 2011's Black and White, which took a well-known brand with no special narrative and crafted a beautiful story around it. Unfortunately, it cannot duplicate that formula very well, and despite fleeting moments of entertainment, Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire come across as a playing experience that doesn’t have much to offer – even for kids.
It lacks the creative vision of Pokémon Platinum, and the artistic confidence of the stridently gonzo Pokémon Black 2 and White 2; Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are above and beyond in only one way-- mediocrity.
Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are a superficially amiable ball of fluff.
It's a product only a marketing division could love, as a simple time-waster is blown up into a too-long-for-its-own-good, too-jejune kid's game full of juvenile writing, an amateurish soundtrack and cheap enjoyment.
All in all, I give this "app"(I refuse to call it a video game) a 2/10.
>>26422448
2/10 isn't "mediocre", 4-6 would be " mediocre"

SNEAKY PEBBELS ON SUICIDE WATCH

Digimon are a hell of a lot stronger than Pokémon, though. Strongest Pokémon vs. strongest Digimon and the Pokémon do not stand even a tiny chance. I don't see why it matters, though, I much prefer Pokémon and don't feel like it needs to somehow complete with higher powered stuff. It's the same shit as other video games vs. comics. Yes, comic characters are more powerful, why does this matter? I for one don't want everything to be on a ridiculously high power level.
Whats up with Shota's eyes?
And whys his name shota?
>>26422142
Well Shōta means "to soar", not sure why he would have this name but it could be a reference to the Soar mechanic in ORAS.
He's got Bette Davis eyes
>>26422142
His name is shota because he is a shota, and those are his bedroom eyes for seducing moms, older sisters, teachers and nurses.
Pic related: "Over 300 million years ago, it was feared as the strongest of hunters. It has been modified by Team Plasma."
It was probably a Bug/Rock type before they modified it. I want to see the primordial bug that lays dormant underneath the cold iron.
>>26422033
It's too bad they came up with this after they established Mega Aerodactyl is how Aerodacty looked in prehistoric times
There's a ton of gameplay/lore conflict problems with giving genesect primal reversion. A shit ton of its moves (mostly TMs) it learns specifically because of its cannon which its primal form doesn't have.
>thunderbolt
>ice beam
>flamethrower
>flash cannon
>techno blast
>>26422057
The dex says they *modified/upgraded* the cannon on its back, so it could still have had that cannon in its original state, albeit weaker.
I suppose it doesn't make sense for it to gain stat points since the genesect of today is supposed to be an upgrade, but maybe the primal form could be a physical attacker.
What would your team be if you only used your favorite Pokemon, regardless of their competitive viability?
http://pokecharms.com/trainer-card-maker/
Scraggy would be my starter.
People already have ideas on how to fix Ice, you can talk about that just fine.
What about Rock? Rock types routinely get dicked over by being quad weak to attacks by being part Ground (which overall is better), so how do we deal with that?
Grass Types? I don't even know where to begin to make them less fucked in the meta.
Psychic type? It's been indirectly nerfed by the likes of Dark (which also is a bit fucked) and Fairy, and risks being made redundant.
>>26421916
You can't fix what isn't broken.
bug probably needs to be fixed more. I'd say reverse the fairy relationship so it resists it instead of the other way around and then get rid of another types resistance to it or something

There is an underlying logic with the move Shell Smash, which is that it implies the user has a sizable armored shell to protect itself. Because its shell gets smashed when it uses the move, its defenses drop. At the same time, there's no shell to weigh it down anymore, so it becomes more nimble and agile, raising its speed and attack stats.
Samurott does not make sense for this. It barely has any shell on its body at all, and smashing the little shell it does have would not make a great deal of difference.
I know it doesn't make sense for Huntail and Gorebyss to get it either, but THEY can't learn it, Clamperl can. Like Primeape learning Iron Tail; it's because Mankey can learn it.Shell Smash Shelgon when?
Just give it some other type of stat boosting move
>>26421902
Samurott should getretconned
>>26421902
but it gets shell armor, obviously it's shell is big enough

I only hate the anime.
>>26421794
I do like Pokemon now, that's the thing. I just don't adore it like I used to.
Just part of growing up I guess.
Last time was Heatmor, today will be about its "prey", the metal ant Pokemon Durant.
My thoughts: It's funny how gameplay wise, the prey is stronger than the predator. I admit, I thought Durant would be a pretty mediocre Pokemon, but I've heard really good things about it. In short, I've heard some attribute it to being like a slightly faster Scizor. I've also heard that it's a good Poke to use it the Battle Maison, something about its truant ability being a counter to the hax within that battle facility. Also, it appears that Durant is our first ant based Pokemon.
Overall, I would think Gen 5's good bug streak would end here, but Durant's a pretty good Pokemon.
>>26421739
Durant is bro tier
>>26421739
I originally thought durant was nothing short of a gimmick pokemon, something to complement Heatmor, and it was dumb for me to see it in the very end of the game. However, after hearing about how good it is, I gave it a try, and now I love it.
I still think scizor is better, and he is my favourite bug pokemon, but durant is so close. I love ants in general, since being a kid I've always been fascinated by their strength, and durant is testament of that, with its humongous attack, couple this with Hustle (I know it sucks competitively, but I still like it) and a choice band, and this guy can reach ATK levels that a swords dance scizor would take several turns to reach.
I like the design, its competitive nieche, and its playstile in general. Top bug for me, even better than volcarona imo
>>26421739
one of my favourites, by the sheer virtue of being the best sweep mon in my B/W RU team
Bug/Steel meant it had a lot of favourable matchups and a hone claws can easily lead to a sweep because of hustle. Fire types can't switch in safely as well due to rock slide.
even though it can't deal with qwilfish well, as long as I find the time for it to set up once, it's usually enough to sweep the opponent
