Agreed. And here's why: RSE has a very orchestrated soundtrack. There's a lot of orchestrated instruments, and, as such, there are countermelodies and a set of timpani. These give a feeling of grandeur and intensity. The remakes remove the countermelody for some stupid reason, and replace it with techno beats, as to not make the arrangements sound incomplete. This just ruins the songs. The trainer theme is probably the most prominent example. RSE's theme sounds great, as I've realized, souly due to the countermelody. In ORAS they removed it, and you can't do that because the arrangement relies on them. But they did it anyway, replaced it with a techno beat, and now it sounds like shit. Case closed.

B/W soundtrack is arguably the best in the series
