First for greentext story from last night
>studying in the city, living in a village 20 minutes away
>spend days farming pokemans in the city
>get home couple days ago and take over the gyms of 5 nearby small villages
>walk home from getting drunk with friends in a deserted village at 2 am

To add to it, I'm the only team blue guy around here, or used to be. Everyone else picked red to be the underdogs and dethrone me. Now these guys are blue aswell and I gave them a couple tips on how to catch up with me as fast as possible.

sorry for the GO shitpost, but can any of you tell me if there is some kind of fucking etiquette with lure mode? I just started playing yesterday, but I have a massive area down the street with a mall, high school, movie theater, etc that people set them off at all day and night and lots of people flock.
I assumed the lure everyone could enjoy and the pokemon would just spawn, are they limited or something? I went walking through the area to hit all the pokestops and got to the lure hotzone and sat maybe 5 min to catch a few things before moving on, but some guys said "fucking lure mooch" as I left so I was confused if I missed something? Am I supposed to drop a lure too to be polite or some shit? a good 20 random people were hanging around the area.

I'd say there's no rule against that because the same Pokemon spawn for everyone without a significant limit. If you are near a multiple lure hotspot (pic) and one runs out, you can offer to drop another one so it can keep going but otherwise it wouldn't be worth it.

A bit concerned. Gen 6 had leaks from January clear up to launch, so almost an entire year. During most of that time they had pretty steady reveals, and X/Y were probably the least content heavy games in the series.
Gen 7 meanwhile has only been announced for, what? Three months? In that time we've gotten a handful of reveals but they've been spread thin, the reveal of S/M themselves was sort of toned down, and the game is only a few months off. Could these games just not be very content heavy? Are they worried the content isn't very good? Or are they just taking it slow as a response to Gen 6 getting complaints that they revealed too much?

Between January and May, aside from movie related reveals, we got nothing for X & Y. It wasn't until May that we got new content, and from then it was steady.
It's steady now, too.
