Battle Frontier is one of the biggest causes, but the actual list of problems people have with the game runs a lot deeper than that. Overall, ORAS is just a pit of wasted potential and laziness.

-A lot of game mechanics work very differently in doubles compared to in singles
-Team synergy and support roles play a much more active role in doubles, given that it's very reasonable to have a support Pokémon working well with a sweeper, and two Pokémon out which cover each other's weaknesses better
-The "meme teams" you're talking about are probably strategies. That's generally considered a good thing.

I prefer doubles because in my opinion, there's more room for strategy, what with a bunch of moves and abilities suddenly becoming viable and effective. Just my ten cents, I don't have a problem with singles. Plus, VGC is fun when it isn't fucked by bad rules like this year.

Reminder that no pokemon but Magearna would have this ability as Megearna itself posses a "Soul heart". Its an artificial being that is alive from a heart containing the life force from other pokemon. That is why Magearna would get stronger if a pokemon in the field faints. As it strives for life energy to keep itself active.

You usually can't go wrong with Aegislash. King's Shield + 3 attacking moves is fine.

People like to pair it wish Hydreigon because they go together well. I'm not 100% sure about how to do it in doubles but I think it could work alright with Groudon.

I disagree. You only state this because they are in different generations. Rhdyon is definetly the coolest, and Rhyperior might be a bit ridiculous but he's Hella powerful.
