How do you guys plan your teams? According to stats or just use pokemon you think are cool regardless of shitty stats? Or do you plan your teams at all?

I don't plan teams but I try my best to make sure my teams have a good type variety. Throughout my X run I boxed Vivillon for Skitty, Combusken for Honedge and then Skitty for Snubbull.

I catch mons I like and switch the under leveled ones for higher leveled ones. I get some mons to have type advantage over gyms too.

Playing through Heartgold for the first time, and I've been getting stuff ready for the Battle Frontier. So far I've been using Alakazam, Feraligatr, Dragonite and Electivire and I've just cleared the Battle Tower. Any other suggestions on stuff to check out?
This game is really great, I'm digging 4th gen in general.

No, I meant those are the only ones I've bred and EV trained. If I wanted to list my ingame shit I would have, these guys got me through the Tower like I said in the OP. Should I post sets? Mainly I was looking for suggestions on cool stuff to try breeding next.

Went to Steam Siege prerelease. First time playing pokemon in 15 years. No clue what I was doing. Can I use fates collide and breakpoint cards with steam siege to build a dominating deck?

I barely play myself. I'm putting together a Carbink break deck on the online TCG, but I hear fairy decks and Greninja decks are good right now. I'd avoid ghost decks as a lot of good ghosts and night march Pokemon are getting rotated out soon.

I'll never forget that story. Is it possible that training a Pokemon slowly over the course of a shit ton of battles had a positive effect on its stats in the long run? Has anyone considered this or confirmed/denied it before?

A special thank you.
I would like to start off with a little story about myself.
I am a 30 year old big dude. I have been big nearly my entire life. I have had periods where I had lost, and was able to keep weight off (Thanks to Dance Dance Revolution). I would then gain this weight back and more. I can't honestly say that I have been really criticized or judged (To my knowledge) about my weight too much. I do every once in a blue moon get heckled and harassed, but I try not to pay those people any mind. I have become kind of a homebody and reluctantly admitted couch potato due to my own embarrassment and weight shaming.
Since Pokemon Go was released, I was worried that it would be a game that I would not get to enjoy. I was worried about traversing out of the comfort of my own home; the home in which I have become very comfortable to being at because my friends will come to me, air conditioning, easy access to food etc.. I was worried that people were going to judge me because of my weight, how much I was sweating after only walking a block, how slowly I walk, and whatever other thing I could think of.
While my friends are very supportive of me and my life choices, I never thought that I would get the amount of support I normally get from my friends, FROM COMPLETE STRANGERS!
I started Pokemon Go on the 6th. I have been walking around by myself and with friends and each time I am complimented by others for getting out and walking around town. Nobody ever says anything about how I look like I just got done swimming from perspiration. Once during one of my walks one of the couples that was out looking for Pokemon actually joined me for a longer walk that I was taking just to make sure I was going to make it. I have received praise that I would only expect from my parents about how proud they are of me for taking such big steps.

At first I was only doing it because I truly love Pokemon, but as I have been walking more, (yeah my legs and my back are KILLING me) I feel more energetic and have been socializing more. It's fun to interact with the other players and hear the tips and tricks they have. It's even more fun to have the little rivalries between teams. GO TEAM INSTINCT!
I have been wanting to lose weight and never really had a lot of motivation. This however has changed all of that and I just wanted to thank all of you for your support and encouragement as it is greatly appreciated.
I guess I should mention that as a "Big dude" I weigh over 600 pounds, not terribly crucial to the story in my opinion. I just thought I would throw that out there for the people who might be wondering.
